I remember visiting this website once...
It was called New Graffiti in Meereen Suggests A Major Spoiler
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Filming in Peñíscola started up again this morning, with the filming of a major scene in the Plaza de Santa Maria. We’ve got eye witness and semi-eye witnesses on Twitter reporting what they’ve seen. The Plaza itself is closed off to anyone trying to get a glimpse, but that doesn’t mean those on the outside haven’t seen who went in…

So this is a scene prior to Varys’ leaving Meereen, and from the sounds of things, one where Tyrion is struggling to contain the mess Dany left behind.
#JuegoDeTronos #GamesOfThrone A lot of immaculates going inside plaza Santa María in Peñiscola
“Immaculates” for those who don’t know, is the word used in the Spanish translations of the novels for “Unsullied.” Sounds like Tyrion may be bringing them in to restore order? Because…
#JuegoDeTronos #GamesOfThrone I've seen two times some smoke going from inside plaza Santa María. I don't have direct vision inside…
Are these the riots that we saw the aftermath of yesterday? (That would make sense, since the show seems to be filming the scenes in Meereen in backwards order. Varys left the first day, then he and Tyrion inspected the aftermath of the riots, now we see them experiencing the riots themselves….)
Then there’s a major spoiler that we have coming out of the Plaza filming which puts all of these clues in perspective. Don’t read further if you don’t want to know.

Check out that picture on the left hand side. In fact, let me help.
That “Kill The Masters” graffiti is from last season. but note what is says underneath.
We knew that Dany damaged her goodwill with the former slave population at the beginning of last season with the execution of Mossador. But who knew things had gotten to the point where the former slave population (or someone) had started equating her rule with the old regime they overthrew?
If in fact we are seeing these scenes filmed in reverse order, then this is the situation that we will find Tyrion and Varys confronted with, before the Red Priestess comes to start preaching the Word of Dany to the masses. If things are really that dire, no wonder Tyrion is willing to use the Red Priestess to help bring Dany back into the good graces of the citizens of Meereen, even if it means losing Varys.
(Speaking of which, does anyone have any theories of where Varys goes when he leaves? Do we think it’s back to King’s Landing, where he has a few plot points to fulfill from the epilogue of
? Or do we think that those plot points might be assigned to someone else?)
Next: The Last Kingdom is the latest series that in no way is influenced by Game of Thrones

Balon made laces for his boots with it Theon. Sorry
Hopefully he’s going to kings landing to take care of pycelle.
Dani and her dragons. She’s tried the fear approach… makes no wonder the ex-slaves turn on her. The moment where she said she’d break the wheel and do what rulers do…. rule, kind of made me think she may not be the saviour of westeros after all, but just another ruler who let power go to their heads.
PREACH. I wish more people stopped rooting for her. She is not fit to rule, she is a shitty Queen and makes poor decisions. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her go mad like her farther.
I second, third, fourth this!!! Not only is she a terrible leader that makes horrible decisions, she is completely ignorant. She is completely incompetent and truly has no feeling for what ‘her people’ want or need. Fine, she ‘freed’ them from their chains. All she truly replaced that with was dragon fire and ruin…….wait, The Hobbit?? She is like a dwarf, Dany Oakenshield.
Obviously it’s the masters provoking the slaves, but it’s also obvious Dany/Tyrion is losing the slaves’ support.
How do you cope? There are only two options : bring down the masters, or bring up the slaves.
Is there a third option? Yes, merge the masters and slaves, force them to marry each other.
Sit back and let them kill each other, then clean up what’s left.
Why would Tyrion giving audience to a red priestess mean losing Varys? What am I missing here? Anyways it sounds like things will be getting interesting again in the Mereen story line, finally.
I don’t buy that explanation. When Varys saw the Red Priestess and the whore dressed liked Danny in Volantis, he said Danny was someone that inspired devotion and that it was good. Varys would not mind about the religion in Meeren IMO, unless they start to burn people. I believe Varys will go to Westeros to look for new allies, maybe to visit the Martells… unless young griff will make an appearance at the end.
Well, there must be a reason for varys to leave. I kind of agree with you that it doesn’t seem like a good reason for his departure. But, alas, this is the show…
Oh, I am sure his reasons for leaving are varied but he will not be happy with the Red Priestess being on board given his background.
I think Varys is a pragmatist. “Religion is the opiate of the masses,” and if people need some opiates to get on board with the person who (in the show) he’s been working for years to put on the throne, so be it.
Varys also stated the reason he would not back Stannis’ claim to the throne was because of his alliance with Melisandre. He states he detests magick of all kinds after a Red Priest castrated him.
Varys shows little emotion but for this one topic.
As much as I like Kevan, I think its time for him and Pycelle to bite the dust.
I think they have whitewashed Varys too much for him to do his ADWD plot in King’s Landing, it wouldn’t make much sense for his character… which means that the show will definitely make him do it…
But isn’t Littlefinger supposed to be in the Vayle and then heading north? I also think i read somewhere that Pycelle’s and Kevan’s assasination will take place in the second half of the season, which would make sense if Varys does it.
If Varys just goes back to Westeros, it would have been kind of pointless to send him out there to begin with.
Season 5: “Hey Tyrion I’m going to help you run this place.”
Season 6: “Yikes, good luck with that, I’m going right back to Westeros, where they’d execute me on sight, and catch up with my book arc.”
My guess is that he goes around Essos to get the exiled pro-Targaryen band back together so that when she gets to Westeros she’ll bring people with her who know people, and know the politics. She will need more than Jorah and Tyrion, and she might need some “second sons” and other people with at least somewhat legitimate claims to various lordships to destabilize the power structure that’s formed post Robert’s Rebellion.
He is a master of disguise. Much more prominent in the book then the show. So I could see him being able to do it.
But I agree with you on LF . I think he’ll do it before heading to the north to blindside Roose.
I found Varys much more interesting in the books. He was much greyer. More dark. I find LF character more interesting then Varys on the show.
I like the idea of him travelling to gather support for Dany. Agree with you he isn’t likely to go back to KL. For the “execute me on sight” reason.
I agree that it would seem kind of pointless to have Varys travel back to Westeros after the effort it took to get him to Meereen.
Perhaps he will shore up some of the Essos/Martell story arc.
At this point I think LF is the best choice to knock off Kevan and Pycell… furthering the Chaos in KL and Cersei’s fall.
Do you believe that the HBO Varys does not have Aegon waiting in the shadows ?
I already don’t like it. 2 much religious shit 4 my taste. In KL, HS is de facto a ruler. Resurrected Jon is about to become religious guided killer. And now in Meereen, Tyrion, the man of reason, the quick-witted lil fella, is so desperate to use religion to rule the people? No wonder Varys, another man of reason, is going to leave him.
The most reasonable characters seem to shun religion like Varys and Davos.
GRRM said in an interview that religious fanaticism would be prominent going forward. Fanatical zealots thrive when times are bad and that’s what he’s trying to convey to the reader/ viewer.
I think Melsandres crazy fanatical days may be behind her. I think she’s been humbled and I definitely don’t seen Jon Snow turning really dark like I’ve seen some predict.
Jon may get real dark when it comes to Alliser Thorne or the Boltons but I still see him being the hero of the story.
They should have a prominent role in this to keep the reigious zealots in check!!!
Maybe freed slaves are atheist. Obviously revolution is (still) going on in Meereen. It seems revolutions involve more stages. First stage of the French revolution – destroying ancient regime; the second stage – revolutionary terror conducted by representatives of small folks, i. e. Jacobins. Dany is a master, she should be sent to the guillotine. She’s the ‘wheel’ to break.
Varys will kill Pycelle and Kevan. End of story. Trystane will come to take Dany back to Westeros. After they kill the harpies. Daario the Harpy. He will die too. Dany and the dothraki will go to Westeros.
You’re going with the Daario as the harpy theory?
Yeah, there are only a few hundred thousand people to choose from.
Why does she need Trystane to take her to Westeros.? She has 93 ships already.
I don’t know if I trust Varys motives. He is the spider after all. I form some theories having read the books , and I would also agree that Varys from the books is much more interesting. Varys has proved he will betray if it serves his interest. So I can’t imagine what he’s up to except it will be what’s best for him. I think he’s using Tyrion but can’t explain why I feel this way.
Dany quite literally had a baptism of fire. I have believed since book 1 she and Jon are the saviours if that’s not too big a word.
Jon is Ice Dany is Fire Like the title A Song of Ice and Fire. I think only Jon can prevent her from becoming The Mad Queen. She was told she would have three great loves. Drogo was clearly the first , Daario possibly the second and I think Jon is the third. She’s not the best ruler and should have left for Westeros ages ago. I don’t think young Griff will show up now.
