I remember visiting this website once...
It was called That Eventuality
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
A blog dedicated to George Harrison and his brilliant music, talent and remarkable personality. Featured here are my scans, compiled quotes and stories, some translated... in tribute of an extraordinary and sorely missed man.

“He’d garden at night-time until midnight. He’d be out there squinting because he could see, at midnight, the moonlight and the shadows, and that was his way of not seeing the weeds or imperfections that would plague him during the day, so he could imagine what it would look like when it was done. He missed nearly every dinner because he was in the garden. He would be out there from first thing in the morning to the last thing at night.” - Dhani Harrison, Living in the Material World

“George really was interested in visual - and he used a camera, video camera too from early days. Also, his father was a merchant seaman, and there’s lots of photographs of Australia, around the world […]. And maybe he picked that up from his father.” - Olivia Harrison on George Harrison, WNYC interview conducted by Leonard Lopate, 4 November 2011 [x]

“I like to put some words in songs that if anybody is out there listening, that it can give them a bit of hope too. You know, it’s like also saying, ‘don’t worry, it’s only a bit of time and if you keep on truckin’, you know, it’ll be okay.’” - George Harrison, “In The Studio” [x]

I hope you had a good chrimbo, and have a happy nuclear ☮ too. Thank you for giving my mum flowers and chocs. [It was you wasn’t it??] Thanks also for the card, in fact THANKS A HEAP SUSAN. “Your too kind” John Lennon
1/. Use plenty of soapy clean water, preferably warm.
2/. When car is [though it may take a lot of water]- clean, leave to dry off for about 20 minutes. [You can have a cup of tea now].
3/ Now ask mother to find some dusters, [2 each] and with the polish, apply with no.1 duster over an area of about 1 sq foot at a time, in a circular motion. Don’t leave it too long before polishing off. This should be carried out until the car is spotless, and gleaming clean. [Don’t forget the wheels!]
4/. Take 1 brush or vacuum cleaner, and have a bash at the carpets. They too can be made to look like new.
5/. The windows [interior] should be polished now, after which you can retire for another tea.
6/. Before returning home, I suggest you look over the car again, for any parts you may have missed out, on finding, they should be cleaned accordingly.
7/. Now proceed to 20 Forthlin RD. with about 6 buckets full of dirty muddy greasey water, where a shiney Ford Classic will be seen. Spread contents of the buckets evenly, so as to leave a nice film of muck over the car. You can now return home knowing you have done your deed for the day. Thank you!!!
Thanks again for the card cheerio for now don’t forget Ban the Bog.

Every so often [George Harrison] drove to a nearby nursery to purchase trees and plants.
The owner, Konrad Engbers, remembers the first time George came in.
\'I’ll give it a little push for you,’ George replied and then bought almost every tree Engbers had in stock. From time to time, George walked down the hill from Friar Park to the market where Engbers had a stall. George would wait in line and take his turn, not expecting any preferential treatment. Seeing his friend, Engbers would take a break and the two would sit in a nearby cafe in their dirty overalls and talk about herbs and plants.
\'Such a kind man,’ Engbers recalled, \'with no airs and graces - a man with a truly big heart.’

Scan - George and Paul (and Klaus Voormann’s sports car), Tenerife, 1963
“We sat there for hours with candlelight, exchanging memories and stories. When no one could really keep their eyes open any longer, George approached me and whispered, “Is that gorgeous little sports car out there yours?”
“Yes, it’s mine. Looks good, doesn’t it?”
“Do you think I could go for a quick drive before I go to sleep?”
I knew that George was crazy about cars and especially sports cars. Years later he would drive one of Sterling Moss’ race cars for a charity race. But I also knew that George was an exceptionally good driver, to whom you could entrust your car even at five in the morning and after two bottles of wine. I couldn’t refuse his request and accompanied him. And so we drove toward the sunrise with the car’s top down. We didn’t speak a word, but instead listened to the motor sounds of my little Austin that seemed to me to sound very different than it usually did. I think the motor was even humming ‘Please Please Me’ in Spanish. Later we quietly rolled toward the house again. He even switched off the headlights so as not to wake the neighbors or our sleeping friends. Typical Georgie.” - Klaus Voormann,

“I’ve spent the last 10 years trying to become un-famous. And I think that, just maybe, I have succeeded. Only two people have recognized me during my stay in Australia.” - George Harrison
“This time round he said with a smile, he is here as a ‘real person’. […]
”\'Everywhere I go I find myself thinking how happily I could live here. There’s no tension. A lot of Australians don’t know how lucky they are. It’s a happy country. In Britain one almost feels guilty for feeling happy. Winter is so depressing. Strikes and more strikes. Everyone’s miserable. It’s a constant struggle not to let the attitude of others rub off on you.’“
“After the split up of The Beatles, he spent years ‘finding himself’. Doing yoga helped him in the rough spots.
His philosophy is simple. ‘It’s about finding out who I am, where I’m coming from, and where am I going.
\'I see life as a huge university. You are here to get knowledge to free the soul. The trick is to find out who you are before you kick the bucket.’
[Illegible] he sees \'kicking the bucket’ not as the end. George believes in reincarnation. \'I wouldn’t mind coming back as a grain of sand,’ he grinned. \'At least I’d never have to worry about the press hounding me again.’”
“Dhani (pronounced something like Danny) is a delight. His name is made up from two notes of the Indian musical scale, dha and ni, and doesn’t mean \'wealth’, as was reported soon after his birth.
He is a bright, creative child, currently hooked on space toys. He speaks with a quaint upper-class English accent. Mum and Dad aren’t quite sure how he picked it up.
Perhaps it is the influence of his nanny, Rachael. Not that she is the plum-in-mouth, sensible-shoes type of nanny so often depicted in British films. She looks more like a flower child with her cheesecloth dress, flowing hair and scrubbed, glowing skin.
There is none of the relegate-the-child-to-the-nursery-where-mama-and-papa-will-visit routine in the Harrison household.
Olivia spends hours each day playing with Dhani, and George talks to him like an adult, and patiently answers his never-ending stream of questions.
Consequently, at three and a half, the boy prattles away in a manner that would put to shame children twice his age.
George feels they spoil Dhani, but admits he is drawing comparisons with his own childhood: \'We were lucky to get one present at Christmas time.’
Most of Dhani’s toys are educational. When he outgrows them they are passed on to charities.”
The article - titled “George Harrison Exploring Australia Incognito” - includes an exclusive interview. I’ve typed up the artice from a digital copy. The copy unfortunately cuts off slightly toward the crease, but hopefully, what is discernible nonetheless gives an interesting insight! For those interested, please read on after the “read more” cut.

“It just hurts so bad to know that he’s not going to be coming around anymore and calling. I want to hear that beautiful, soft accent. Forget his singing, I mean, I used to just love to just listen to him talk. And all the funny stories about him recently about being the quiet Beatle - he was the most talkative person I know. He didn’t stop talking.
But the thing that was beautiful about George was that he always had something to say. I used to see people get their feelings hurt being around him. It was almost as if couldn’t not tell the truth.
[…] With George there was a closeness, like really, truly a brother. I mean, that’s such a cliché.
[…] To me he was just George. He was just George, my beautiful, beautiful friend […]” - Jim Keltner,
was a very palpable demonstration of the affection he inspired among his friends, but naturally little of what he did to inspire such devotion will be told. However, one of Harrison’s oldest musical chums, drummer Jim Keltner, has offered a glimpse: ‘Now, George had this tremendous living room, which was like three stories high, with a balcony overlooking it. My bedroom was on the third floor - “the loft,” they used to call it. It was a beautiful place with a kitchen and den and everything. I used to come down in the morning and stand on this part of the balcony that extends out over the room a little bit. A few times over the years I’d snap my fingers to hear the sound, and I’d say to George, “It would be great to have the drums here,” and he’d just laugh, because he had a major studio built in another part of the house; why would he want to put drums there? But when I arrived for this recording, I walked in and the drums were set up right in that space. I was so knocked out. He did that for me.’“ -
