Green Day have shared a new video as they record new music in the studio.
The band previously hinted that they are recording new music with frontman Billie Joe Armstrong uploading a studio photo in January.
Now Armstrong has shared a clip which sees him showing fans around their studio and drummer Tré Cool playing on steel pan drums. Watch below.
Late last year th pop-punk band dropped a surprise festive single called \'Xmas Time of the Year\', released via the group\'s Twitter page on Christmas Eve while wishing them "Happy Holidays".
The new song was the first release from Armstrong and co since the band\'s 2012 \'Uno!\', \'Dos!\' and \'Tré!\' album trilogy.
Back in April 2015, long-time producer Rob Cavallo said that the band had been back in the studio and had recorded five tracks.
"Let me tell you, they were just fantastic. He is absolutely at the top of his game," Cavallo said of Armstrong\'s work. "Fans can be sure that when they do return, the music will be amazing."
Green Day were also inducted into the Rock \'n\' Roll Hall of Fame last April, 25 years since their first studio album \'39/Smooth\' was released.
