Sometimes, when they are near each other, অথবা just sitting on my lap, they squeak very softly. I expect that's just their form of communication.
When they hear the vegetable drawer open, অথবা the cutlery drawer, অথবা a ছুরি cutting up a carrot, they go berserk! They start squeaking in a loud, high-pitched tone and they sit up all alert and sniff the air. So I'm guessing that means they're excited!
And sometimes when আপনি stroke them, অথবা when they snuggle up to each other, they purr. I think that must mean they are content.
সামগ্রিক I get the impression that a noisy guinea pig is happier than a silent guinea pig. When I fight brought mine home, they were very quiet - probably because they were nervous. Now, they are really tame and confident, plus they always seem to make noises when something they like is happening!
