Do আপনি believe that আপনি can only be a Harry Potter অনুরাগী if আপনি have read all of the books?

I think if আপনি are a real অনুরাগী আপনি should read the books. আপনি can be a অনুরাগী of the চলচ্চিত্র but if আপনি are a অনুরাগী of Harry Potter আপনি read the book because that is the really Harry Potter.
What I get from your মতামত আপনি are a real HP অনুরাগী because আপনি are trying to read the বই and maybe even want to read all of them.

To those people who complains about that they can't read for some reasons, there is a reason there is audio books. I have read and "read" all of the বই myself several times (16/7 times, the last one only 6 times). I even learn to read properly from HP but I do listen to the audio বই sometimes because I don't like to read so much anymore like I did before, so today I try to walk so much as possible and in the mean time I listen to the books. English isn't my first language but I listen to them in English because I প্রণয় his voice, I mean he really brings the characters alive. And when I listen to them in English, I improve english at the same time.
I really enjoy that.

আপনি can be a অনুরাগী at any time, even just watching the movies. However, to be a true, die-hard fan, আপনি have to read the books. But you're already পাঠ করা the books, so if আপনি continue to প্রণয় them and read them, then you're perfectly die-hard :)

Personnally I have read all the বই and I've seen all the চলচ্চিত্র but I just consider myself just as a fan.
I don't believe of the crap and I repeat clearly myself THE crap other অনুরাগী অথবা people call "TRUE FAN" it doesn't exist such a thing অথবা person অথবা group of persons.
It's just a damn way to separate us and to make people feel bad just because they only like the বই অথবা only likes the movies.
For me আপনি are A অনুরাগী because আপনি like what আপনি read অথবা watched অথবা both, that is a fan.
Being a অনুরাগী is just liking the বই অথবা just one book অথবা one movie. People who say: "True অনুরাগী blablabla" just wants to give themselves some importance. I don't see the big deal about it. We're all HP অনুরাগী and we're all equal just দ্বারা that.

If আপনি ask me, the answer is simple. আপনি can be a অনুরাগী if আপনি haven't read the books. But আপনি can not fully appreciate the beauty held in Harry Potter. So basically what I'm saying is this: আপনি are a fan. Not a true fan. When you've read all the বই though...that's a different story.

At least আপনি aren't one of those people who watches the চলচ্চিত্র then reads the first two pages of the first book and say, "I don't like it. It's stupid." Hope আপনি finish them soon!

My Sister and Brother didn't start পাঠ করা the বই until they saw the films. And my Mother, who has seen all the movies, has never once picked up a Harry Potter book, and she calls her self a "Die-hard" fan.

I stared loving Harry Potter when I saw the HP1 movie! I was so in প্রণয় with it. U don't have to read all 7 বই to become a অনুরাগী of HP, HP is sooo cool that আপনি can be a অনুরাগী of it দ্বারা only watching the HP 1 movie ;) it's possible. And I did'nt read all বই yet,I just read HP 1,2 & 3 and saw all the movies. I agree with @innocenta.

No আপনি don't need to have read all the বই I was 3 when I became a অনুরাগী of Harry Potter and I couldn't read and so far I have only read Chamber of Secrets and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I don't agree with your mom at all. Being a 'real' অনুরাগী of anything is subjective. I've seen all the moves, read all the বই -- starting when they first came out --, been to almost all the midnight releases, dressed up as characters, and had themed parties. But I don't have the বই on tape, and hardly have any memorabilia, and some might say that I'm not a 'real fan.'

A real অনুরাগী is someone who loves the series, regardless of whether they've read all the books, seen all the movies, only got into it because of certain actors অথবা movies, অথবা got into it once it got 'popular.' The way I see it: if someone tells আপনি you're not a real অনুরাগী because আপনি didn't do what they've done, they're just trying to make themselves look and feel better দ্বারা making আপনি look small.

আপনি প্রণয় the series -- that's all that matters.

I think that's a minimum, as everything started there, in the books. There might have been no movies, yet the বই are still there.

The চলচ্চিত্র are great and in so many aspects, they convey what the atmosphere of the বই fairly well. Plus the cast is just wonderful. I encourage my students in the English language to watch the চলচ্চিত্র because they are an highly enjoyable way to improve English, thanks to the impeccable diction of some of the actors.

However, the চলচ্চিত্র could not tell everything. Many important subplots have been discarded. The বই are far richer and it's a pity not to read them.

Well you're a অনুরাগী of the চলচ্চিত্র , but to be a TRUE অনুরাগী আপনি have to read the বই . I mean that's what everythings based on and I believe আপনি do have to read the বই if আপনি want to call yourself a true potterhead .

No. I'm a very big অনুরাগী of the movies. But never read the books. Well,except I read a few chapters on book 5. Just sayin.

I don't think আপনি have to read all of the বই to be a true HP অনুরাগী I've only read the last 2 myself and it did help me understand আরো about some of the characters better like Severus the চলচ্চিত্র make him look pretty bad but once আপনি read the বই আপনি really understand why he had to be the way he was

You're a real অনুরাগী when আপনি believe you're a real fan, not when other believe it.

আপনি certainly can be a real HP অনুরাগী without পাঠ করা the books, but you're cheating yourself if আপনি don't read them. The চলচ্চিত্র are great, sure, but they pale in comparison to what JK Rowling wrote. When আপনি watch the movies, you're only getting maybe a quarter of the story, and you're getting someone else's vision of it. Only when আপনি read the বই do আপনি get the whole story, and আপনি can make your own movie in your mind. আপনি have your own vision of the story, and I think that's far আরো valuable.

And honestly, আপনি don't really know the true depth of the characters if আপনি don't read them. And if আপনি never read the books, then আপনি will never truly understand how brave, how awesome was our Potions Master, অথবা how great was his sacrifice, because the চলচ্চিত্র do not do Severus Snape justice. Alan Rickman does, have no doubt, but the films just don't.

And if you're a অনুরাগী of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, as I am (passionately), you'll never really know them if আপনি don't read the books. Because the চলচ্চিত্র trivialize them terribly.

I don't think আপনি have to read the বই to be a fan. I have several বন্ধু that like the চলচ্চিত্র and have never picked up one of the বই in their lives. That being said, I always encourage people to read the books. They have so many awesome moments in them that, unfortunately, never made it to the big screen. It takes longer to read a book than to watch a movie, but the বই are totally worth reading. আপনি can't get a full understanding of the magical world and of Harry's story if আপনি just watch the movies.

Everyone has their opinion. But I think it's a bit silly to asume anyone has the ability to say if someone else is really a true অনুরাগী অথবা not. That's for আপনি to say.

i think being an harry potter অনুরাগী আপনি don't need to read all the books.you can just watch the first few চলচ্চিত্র of harry potter to under stand them.

i personally don't think it matters what আপনি do its আরো of how আপনি feel about something that makes আপনি a true অনুরাগী if আপনি read all the বই and watch all the চলচ্চিত্র but don't have a huge interest in it than your not a true অনুরাগী but if আপনি read a few বই অথবা watch some চলচ্চিত্র and absolutly প্রণয় it than i think that makes আপনি a fan. I think its a personal desicion and judgement whether অথবা not your a অনুরাগী no one else can say that your not a real অনুরাগী because আপনি do অথবা don't do something that is up to you. If that makes sense

I think that if আপনি read the বই আপনি will understand the movie আরো but if আপনি just watch the চলচ্চিত্র then আপনি are still a fellow potter অনুরাগী because really a potter অনুরাগী just loves harry potter even if it is just the movies.

No. আপনি don't have to read the বই to be a true HP fan. Either makes আপনি a fan. Just as long as আপনি প্রণয় the story. But আপনি might get a better understanding of the story and get to read somethings that wasn't in the চলচ্চিত্র if আপনি read the books.
