All these questions about Snape... What about ickle Draco?

In HBP, Draco was in way over his head and he couldn't summon the courage/ruthlessness to kill Dumbledore. That's definitely not DE material cos you gotta be ruthless

I love the Malfoy family i think they're sooooo class. And i actually really like Draco's character(don't ask me why), no way he could kill someone he thinks he is hardcore and evil but he just isn't.

Ok, first of all, Draco is NOT a coward and it's not that he doesn't have the guts. He's a human being people!!!! What would YOU do if you were basically forced to kill someone, or you and your family would die???? I don't understand how anyone could HATE Draco. In the 6th book, we learned that he really does have a good side, and he's deffinately NOT evil or death eater material. <3 He had to grow up in a family that was pure-blood crazy and followers of Voldemort, which effected his personality. I'm not saying he's the nicest person, but EVERYONE has some good in them. <3

He is a bully, but he doesn't have the guts to be a Death Eater. He is actually a good person at heart, but he was raised to treat those "below" him as dirt. But there's no doubt that he is pretty cowardly. It is very evident in the last book during the final battle scene at Hogwarts, where he clings to Harry when Harry has to save his life, then when a Death Eater gets upset he once again switches sides. He does many cowardly things in the books as well. This is what makes him Draco.

Yes, because he has that kind of mean, evil streak in him and of course his father wants him to be like him. And no, because its too much pressure for him and I believe he can't cope. (i.e. When he was meant to kill Dumbledore in HBP)

I think that when it comes down to it, in the end neither of them are Death Eater material. Lucius is more concerend with the welfare of his Wife and Son than serving the dark lord. He is just afraid of the Dark Lord and he thinks that when Voldemort takes over, he will have power. The problem is that I don't think Lucius realizes the cost of his devotion. I really think that Draco ends up the same way.

HBP made it pretty clear that Draco, while he did fully believe he had what it takes to be a Death Eater, didn't have it when he realised what that really meant.

Draco is an horrible,arrogant person , but he doesn't have the cruelty to kill like the death eaters do (and refusing to kill someone is not lack of guts,btw)
