he's like the ultimate hero!

last season was alot about him...but it's really hard to say with all the storylines going on in the same time...Hiro is my fave tho.

The way the writers have done it is so that all characters are equal, but if I had to say one it would be Peter because he is the 'strongest' one, his power mirrors how involved he is in all of the other ‘hero’s’ lives. He links them all together. Also they seem to say Peter is the only one who can stop Sylar as they have equal powers.

I think that Claire is the main character....dunno why but she IS in every episode afterall...I would love to have said Peter on the other hand. Peter was my fave last season probably, but I'd hafta say that so far it's Claire. I'm not gonna be suprised if that changes.

I think that Peter, Claire and Hiro are the three main characters, but when it comes to these three I think that Peter is the most essential to the plot and to what's the show about.

i wouldnt consider any of the people with abilities as the main character, they are equal, except maybe hiro as he is central to the storyline

Well, Peter was the first shown, he has the most power, and he represents the general public more. He's the one who just wanted to be special (Hiro does as well, but...), and he is completely for saving the masses. He would rather die than hurt someone else (xcept Sylar). I just hope he'll be all right after the finale..........

he kind of opens everything up at the beginning and ties it all up at the end.

i agree with scofield44, that the characters with powers are all kind of equal in my mind.

but maybe i just picked him becacuse i have a crush :)

It`s definitely without a doubt Mohinder, if it wasnt for his research & determination from his dad, the show wouldn`t even exist.

i would say sylar and peter are the main, the show is always about them 2, they can have thousands of abilities therefore more important, the other characters have only one each

save the cheerleader (save Claire from sylar),save the world(from peter exploding)
