Wow, that was confusing... I will try and think of a better way to say it!
I completely agree with housediva that Cameron doesn't know House well enough, at least not as well as Cuddy does, to fully understand him.
If you are talking about his "problems", then I would have to say Cameron accepts him more for those, because like PG said she's attracted to "damaged" people and likes to try and help them. She defends House against Cuddy when Cuddy tries to teach him lessons about pain management etc.
Whereas if you are talking about his personality, Cuddy is much more accepting. What Cameron doesn't accept about House is his coldness calculating way with which he deals with people and is continually suprised and put off by how he treats people. Cuddy on the other hand, may get pissed but never asks him to change the way he treats people, simply accepting that he won't change.
To be frank they both want to "fix" House but in different ways. Cameron wants to "fix" his personality and believes the leg is the cause of his bitterness and antisocial behaviour so she tries to make him more humane. Whereas Cuddy doesn't want to change him persay, but wants to make his quality of life better. She doesn't want him, aka his personality to change, but wants to help him in the way he manages his pain or the way in which he copes with day to day life, because as House once so brilliantly pointed out, "you see the world as it is, and you see the world as it could be". She sees what House's life could be and that's why she wants to "fix" him, she doesn't want to change who he is, but rather improve his quality of life. Therefore she is more accepting of him.
And on a more shallow note, that may well be the longest comment i've ever seen. XD
*head hurts after reading so much* XP
I DON'T KNOW. This comment is confusing. :S
BUT CUDDY. YES CUDDY FTW.
More than once Cuddy has put her job, and her medical licence, on the line for House. You may think that Cameron accepts him more, but seriously you cannot ignore facts. Even as a Huddy shipper I acknowledged that Cameron accepts House for who he is, because frankly its a fact so, I think everyone can have their own opinions about things, but don't simply ignore facts because you don't want to acknowledge them.
Evidence against that Cuddy would not pick her benefits for herself or her hospital over House every time (which is what you claimed, housefan1, in your post):
Babies and Bathwater:
Cuddy's and hospital benefits: 100 million dollar donation from Vogler
What did Cuddy do? She got rid of Vogler because he wanted to get rid of House. She defended House and fought for him. Cuddy lost 100 million dollars because she fought for House.
Words and Deeds:
Cuddy’s and hospital benefits if House went to jail: No more $50 000 every year set aside for the law suits House creates and no more unethical procedures that House does sometimes. In other words, she’d be relieved of stress.
What did Cuddy do? She perjured herself under oath, she fabricated evidence and lied that House did not in fact steal the patient’s oxycodone because she’d swapped it with placebo’s. She LIED for House to keep him out of jail. How could that possibly be considered picking the hospital/herself over House, housefan1?
Living the Dream:
Cuddy’s and hospital benefits if House got fired because his procedure kills the patient: Again, House would be fired, no more $50 000 extra set aside every year for him and less stress.
What did Cuddy do? She went with House. House gave her a way out and told her to go for 2 minutes, come back, and then call security. That way, no one would know that she was aware of what House was doing and therefore, if the patient died, she would not get fired. Yet what did Cuddy do, I ask again? She didn’t accept House’s offer of a way out. She went with him. She said to him, “If he dies, call me… so I can pack my things”, which means that if he's going down, she's willing to go down with him.
Really, housefan1, this isn’t a post against you or Hameron or anything. I just feel the need to defend Cuddy and her actions and how much she has actually helped House without any self benefit.
