Astrid. Ruffnut's okay she's more so tomboy and kinda... sits there and stares.

Astrid seems more like...like a girl. If that makes any sense. Ruffnut seems more tomboyish and, even though she's not as good as Astrid in a bunch of Viking stuff, she just seems more overall Viking-ly.

ASTRID IS THE MOST BAD-ASS ANIMATED GIRL I'VE EVER KNOWN, ENOUGH SAID! That's not to say, however, that I don't like Ruffnut, in fact I really do like her! She's quite hilarious, especially when she's with her brother...

Astrid is not a very good Viking, as seen in the first movie battle with the Red death. You know the one were she literally does nothing and has to be saved by Hiccup, tough Viking chick if I every seen one, I guess. Not to mention in the second movie where she is also rescued by Hiccup (big shock I know) but when they are battling in a war, instead of using her years of dragon skills to fight Draco's bewilderbeast, she'd rather have Eret do it, so she can teach him the joys of flying a dragon during a life threatening war, where yes people died. While I hate what they did with Ruffnut as well in HTTYD2 and she had to be saved in that movie as well. She is still more Viking like and relatable then Astrid in my opinion. First off Ruffnut is not classically beautiful which is a nice change since almost every female in media looks like a damn Barbie doll. That and Ruffnut willingly fights, either playfully with her brother or in serious armies she's ready for battle. Not to mention she's rash unpredictable crazy and enjoys every minute of it, she embodies far more Viking spirit in one figure then Astrid could in her whole super model body. This comment is in no way intended for disrespect on those who like Astrid, as a matter of fact more power to ya, this is strictly my opinion:)
