Cuddy gets her groove back.
Sitting up in bed, Cuddy began breathing heavily after experiencing another nightmare. It was the fifth night in a row that she had these traumatic dreams, and she was now suspecting that it was not a normal dream; it must be something physiological. The first thought that came to her mind was a tumour, she closed her eyes and sighed as she felt an overwhelming surge of pain explode inside her head; it nearly knocked her backwards, but she managed to stay calm and put on her jeans and a loose beige cardigan, which barely covered up her জরি cotton pyjama top.
Grabbing her keys, she leant on the দেওয়াল as the pain came back for a সেকেন্ড time. Not knowing what to do, she decided there was only one person who could help her, House. She hid all of her insecurities about seeing him out of her thoughts, and focused on the pain and the nightmares. House would be the only one to not mollycoddle her, and actually be helpful.
House was lying in bed, oblivious to the heavy rain that was battering down hard on the thick windowpane. However, it was the loud banging on his door that woke him out of his peaceful slumber. Dragging himself out of bed, after succumbing to the annoying sound, he was surprised to see Cuddy standing there, barely covering herself up. At first, he thought it was his lucky night, and that Cuddy wanted some midnight delight. But when he noticed her wavering slightly from left to right, he knew it was something more.
“Are আপনি drunk? Because if আপনি are, I can’t be held responsible for my actions.” House had the same melancholy look on his face, but when he could see Cuddy about to faint, his quick reflex actions managed to stop her from hitting the hard wood floor; when he caught her, and then gently moved her to his sofa before closing the door.
“Cuddy?” House began shouting in a powerful deep tone, as he shadowed over her pale face. Putting the back of his hand to her forehead, to check her temperature, he noticed she had a fever, and was hotter than usual.
“I need to cool আপনি down, and fast.” Limping frantically to his kitchen, he grabbed a cloth and ran it under the cold tap, whilst still keeping his hawk eye on her the whole time.
As he made his way back to her side, he sat on the edge of his coffee table, and began dabbing her face and neck with the cloth.
“Come on.” House checked her pulse, and it was normal. After about a few minutes, Cuddy began to weakly open her eyes, her vision and sound was blurry, as she could see and hear House floating above her.
“Cuddy? You’ve got to stay awake.” Cuddy began to moan in confusion as she tried to sit up. “What are আপনি doing?”
“Trying to stop আপনি from overheating, if that’s even possible.” House couldn’t help but crack a joke, even if he wasn’t in a humorous mood.
“I tried to get here as soon as I could…I need your help.”
The thought of Cuddy reaching out to House unnerved him, as he kept the cold cloth at the side of her neck, they shared a caring look before his hand moved away and he disconnected their eye contact.
“What the hell’s going on?” House’s voice was in a আরো annoyed and confused tone, he doesn’t like to be out of the loop, even if it is unintentional.
“I don’t know. I just…I’ve been having really garish nightmares for the past week and then tonight I not only woke-up, out of breath and scared, but I felt like my brain was imploding, one cortex at a time.”
Cuddy still showed signs of discomfort, when House seemed to flinch at the sight of her suffering, even if he tried not to প্রদর্শনী it.

“Where have I heard that before.” He spoke softly to himself. Cuddy smiled weakly, even though hurt was still being conveyed in her eyes.
“I need আপনি to help me figure out what’s going on, I can’t have people প্রশ্ন my authority, and undermine me. Even if that means keeping this quiet from the board.”
Cuddy’s face wrinkled slightly as she felt another shooting pain in her head, this time it made her collapse backwards into the large leather armrest.
“Here.” House held her head up as he placed a folded blanket underneath her soft brown curls that were displayed around her head as if they were little ringlets of the sun’s rays.
“Thank you.” Cuddy softly smiled, as they shared a quiet yet seductive moment in the dimly lit living room of House’s apartment. It took a moment, before they stopped just staring at each other, but began to lean in slowly. Cuddy’s hand caressed the side of his bearded face, as both of them looked at each other with intensity. Both were pensive about অভিনয় on the swirling clouds of feelings they each felt for each other.
“House.” Cuddy’s voice was quiet and shaky, as the pain began to lift up out of her, for the moment that House was looking into her eyes. Cuddy kissed his lips softly, lingering on his bottom lip for the last few seconds.
“You can stay here tonight, if আপনি want to.” House’s voice was a gravely smooth low tone, and was unusually quiet. Cuddy let out a soft laugh, her hand still on his face, “I don’t think I have a choice, do I.” They both tried not to laugh, but instead, their eyes were full of warmth and they both knew how each other felt.
Cuddy began to settle into the sofa, as House began to walk towards his bedroom; but he stopped abruptly, just before he entered it. He turned around slowly, and could see Cuddy sitting up, and looking at him.
“Can’t I sleep with you?” House limped back towards her, slowly. He helped her up as they both made there way to his bed. House climbed inside, as Cuddy took off her jeans in the moonlit room. House watching her as if every little thing she did was important to the world, no matter how insignificant. Cuddy slipped her delicate feet under the white cotton sheets, before she laid her head on the pillow, and tried to sleep.
“Come here.” House voice was light, and he spoke in a sweet tone; something he would only প্রদর্শনী to Cuddy. House put out and arm, as Cuddy paused for a moment, before accepting his invitation to rest on his firm and long torso.
“Don’t get the wrong idea.” Cuddy laughed quietly, and softly, and House smiled as he looked up at the ceiling. With his arm around her petite frame, she began to fall asleep. The soft and warm breath against his stomach made the moment special in it’s own way.
