It has been a দিন since Cuddy had her pre-term labor and delivery. Of course, House was there every step of the way. Aside from the fact that he’s needed there, he also wanted to be there After all those panicky moments, distress and pain of five ঘন্টা labor, Cuddy found her self in the nursery, staring down at her new born with a pale blue cloth on শীর্ষ of him. “Hey baby,” she uttered with eyes pooled in with tears of joy and the baby responded with a coo while wavy its tiny hands in the air.
“Great job,” a familiar voice sounded from behind. She turned and was right the moment their eyes met. House walked towards them and without removing his stares to the wonder he had done and প্রদত্ত to the world, he asked, “why are আপনি on your feet? You’re not supposed to ---“
“I’m fine and what’s wrong if I came down here to see Liam?” the new mother also asked without bothering to give a glance at him. He threw a mocking grimace face and turned his head to look at her, “Liam? Is that what আপনি named our son? Did I say okay to this?”
Cuddy chuckled and lifted her head up to meet his eyes, “oh it isn’t that bad and unless আপনি have a better one to change it অথবা back it up, I’ll stay with the name I’ve chosen.” She returned her gaze to the newborn in front of them and began playing with its tiny hands again as House’s stares stayed on her.
He gave out a sigh and said, trying his best to hide his excitement too, “you want to carry him?” It’s a good thing Cuddy didn’t notice it as she nodded and said, “I’ve been dying to.”
“Take that seat,” he ordered which she obeyed. She watched him hanged his cane on the trolley and carry Liam slowly and carefully. She found it as a sweet moment, if only she have a camera with her, she would have a snap of it. The baby rubbed his head unto his father’s chest as if he already knew who was carrying him. House stared back and didn’t notice a smile was already creeping on his lips. He slowly limped towards Cuddy, letting his pain set on as long as they reached the আসন safely. “Oh there আপনি go,” he ব্যক্ত as he handed the baby to his mother.
House dragged a spare chair পরবর্তি to her and obviously sat on it. “I will but আপনি see, আপনি don’t have long distance telephones in the nursery so I’ll do it the moment I reach my office,” he replied which the dean returned with a nod and said, “she’ll be thrilled to know she have a baby brother now.”
“I’m sure she will.” Silence then followed. House’s eyes were averting on both Cuddy and Liam as she playfully bond with him as if he will now respond as lively as what a five বছর old could do. Suddenly, the diagnostician lifted himself up and pulled the chair just beside her because he couldn’t bare the distance between them anymore. He leaned অগ্রবর্তী and his face almost touched Cuddy’s shoulder that দ্বারা the moment she turned to face him, the tip edge of their noses almost touched the other. Eyes were locked again before she looked down to deflect from the thing that might have ensued if they didn’t.
“You’re not really going to name Liam, Liam isn’t it?” House asked as he leaned back on his chair and watched Cuddy scoffed on his question. “Pretty sure the kid will like that,” she replied.
“How’d আপনি know he won’t curse আপনি for naming him such?” he mocked again trying to stall time to be with Cuddy and his son. “Well,” she replied sweetly, “you’re his father. I already told you, আপনি have the right to change it অথবা back it up with something আপনি like.”
“Hmm,” he started his proposal, “if আপনি want, I could come দ্বারা everyday and every night in your house to discuss it with you.” Cuddy’s eyes shifted to look অগ্রবর্তী before she turned back to face House, who was already smiling at her, with ‘what-the-hell’ look but a smirk was drawn on her lips knowing exactly what he meant.

Five years later, he’s now here, leaning against the Nurse’s station in the clinic with a smile on his face. He has been standing there for like twenty মিনিট with his eyes only fixed on a certain part of the place, Cuddy’s office door. She wasn’t in the room but he found staring at it wasn’t a waste of time. A man was closer to the door though, he was from the utility department and the moment he turned to face the diagnostician, both of them exchanged a knowing nod.
As the man trailed off, House smiled as he read the words newly imprinted on the glass before him.

“Daddy?” a small voice suddenly entered his sleeping neuron cells, “daddy, আপনি have to wake up.” ‘Oh, not again,’ he complained to himself as he pulled a spare বালিশ on শীর্ষ of his head. This is the third time he dreamt that dream and this is also the third time Liam cut it off. For once, he wanted to go on where his sleeping neurons could take him, at least see what lays after that scene he always land and end on. He tried to set his brain to go back to sleep but there was a quick shake, then another shake followed, then another before he finally decided to open one eye lazily after pulling the বালিশ down. The image before him was blurred but he was certain that the brown-haired with icy blue eyes little boy was smiling at him. “Good morning,” Liam greeted.
“Morning,” House greeted back before pulling his five বছর old son for a quick morning kiss. “Had a good night sleep last night?” he asked the moment Liam pulled back.
“Uh-hm but daddy,” Liam answered, “you snored.”
“Really?”
“Uh-huh!”
“Really?” House playfully asked again as he ease himself up and was about to grab Liam’s body for a tickle. দ্বারা then, the little boy’s hands were ready to shoo him away with giggles filling in the air in the room.
“No! No!” Liam screamed as House’s fingertips reached the side of his body, “no, daddy, আপনি don’t snore!” Then it was followed দ্বারা several rounds of laugh and the বিছানা was turned into a bigger mess the moment House stop, leaving Liam still catching some breathing.
“So,” the proud father asked, “do I still snore?”
“Yes,” the tiny voice sounded, still with some giggly tone but the accusation was brought back when an attempt to be tickled was brought out so the ‘yes’ turned into a ‘no’.
“I’ll race আপনি down the hall!” Liam screamed as he ran out of the bedroom after both of them got up from the বিছানা a মিনিট later. House couldn’t deny that he প্রণয় waking up in mornings like these… mornings with his son. It’s just so frustrating that he could only have them during weekends and his dream above wouldn’t fit in in this real world. Even if he wanted it to be, it just wouldn’t.

Two hours later, House and Cuddy were strolling down near a lake that was turned into a family park in the city. Liam and Rachel were running ahead of them, chasing pigeons actually. Their little gesture made ‘their’ parents smile but both of them merely talked with each other after meeting at the plaza so House could turn over Liam to his mom.
This has been their routine since the দিন the boy turned one. As agreed upon, he stays with his mom and his father took him at his apartment during weekends and whenever Cuddy had some conferences for days. Liam, even as a five বছর old boy, understands their situation and was already used to it. Luckily, প্রদত্ত the New Jersey law, ‘House’ was still his last name knowing his father acknowledges his existence while Rachel still have Cuddy’s family name.
“Mom,” the little House pulled his mother’s skirt, “can I go and play there?” His finger pointing to the playground just a few steps away from them before Cuddy nodded and allowed him to. After which, the children ran like a flash and left his parents alone but both their eyes were locked at the kids as they took a bench for them to sat on.
There were no words that were coming out either from Cuddy অথবা House and the silence that was growing was awkward as it is but they can’t blame themselves for finding no topic to talk about that afternoon. Her eyes were looking অগ্রবর্তী but not specifically at her son and daughter, she just wanted to have that position as not to meet House’s eyes that she’s sure to meet hers as he tapped his cane on the wooden bench where they are.
“You’re making me meet আপনি at the park, what’s wrong in your house?” he finally uttered after a sigh. When no answer was brought out, he added, “You’re really making a big deal out of what we had?”

Just last Friday, as he was waiting for Liam to finish his bath, he walked in her room to ask her about Liam’s condition in his pre-school classes but it didn’t turned that way. “Not changing… yet. If those were nothing to you, why wouldn’t আপনি bother dropping দ্বারা my place and get Liam yourself? And your eyes and moans speak the other way.”
“Okay,” she started, “this park is closer to my place. It’s safer and I wouldn’t have like the idea of getting Liam straight from your house.”
“Safer? Why? Afraid of the big cane?” he mocked.
“No, I mean, Liam told me you’ve moved out from your apartment and your new house is something I don’t know where.”
“You could have asked me.” Then silence owned them. House knew he’ll win and Cuddy knew she’ll lose this game. As she stared down at the ground, he returned his glance at the kids before them.
“Yes I moved in to a new house. It’s bigger,” he ব্যক্ত without turning his head a bit, “has four floors with six bedrooms minus the guest’s দ্বারা the way.” Cuddy looked up to him, amazed why House bothered buying a house like that when in fact he’s alone mostly in his life. “Liam enjoyed the pool and if Casey comes around during holidays for a stay, she enjoys the সঙ্গীত room like me.”
Cuddy was about to say something but House went on, “but then I guess it’s too late when I realized I no longer need a big house like that. The better half of my life seemed to prefer to stay wherever she is right now, although I would প্রণয় to know she’ll be happy to be with me in our mansion. We made প্রণয় twice after our son’s born but she didn’t seem to acknowledge the fact that every time we slept together, I always give my all.”
He turned his head to see tears now flooding in Cuddy’s eyes. He smiled at her as she answered, “did আপনি just bought a new book of riddles অথবা are আপনি asking me to সরানো in with you?”
He smiled remained, with his dimples matching it up, as he said, “why can’t both be true?”
In spite of tears now running from her eyes, Cuddy managed to chuckle. She nervously watched House slid his hand under his কোট and she almost fainted the moment he pulled his hand back out. He was holding a velvet box and offered it to her.
“Ohmygod, House,” she uttered still with streaming tears on her cheeks as she took it from his grip.
“No you’re my goddess. I know it sounds crazy but I see it’s just time to…”
House was about to finish his sentence when Cuddy finally pulled out the thing inside the box. Most women surely would get a ring but in this case, she found a key. He kept his mouth shut, but still with a smile too, as he observed Cuddy chuckled once more.
“I just figured maybe it’s just time to সরানো in together,” he finally finished his line the moment she looked up to see him. He could see her joy in her eyes and as she hugged him tight, he knew it wasn’t just excitement but প্রণয় as well.
