is well aware, which is why they’re giving new meaning to love triangles and the importance of humanity.
Stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, David Anders, and Aly Michalka stopped by EW’s studio at San Diego Comic-Con Friday to expose the bloody brains behind the latest season, and reveal which celebrity noggins would make a great meal.
The series follows Olivia Moore (McIver) as she learns to balance her medical residency while under the weather with being a zombie. For a premise that screams horror, the show manages to have a sly winking to the zombie genre, while also bringing in the drama of plots like love triangles. “I think that it’s interesting to see Peyton still into Blaine, even after finding out he’s a bad dude and has a shady past,” explains Michalka in response to her love triangle with Ravi and Blaine. “I think her heart knows that she should ultimately be with Ravi.”
universe is feeling the zombie lifestyle. “You definitely know that he’s not going to ever commit to becoming, or agree to becoming, a zombie,” explains Goodwin on his character Clive’s aversion to the zombie outbreak. “I think the only way Clive would ever agree to something like that is if he’s saving someone else’s life.”
Of course, with zombies on the brain, the only logical way to conclude the interview is with a questionnaire on which celebrity brains the cast would like to eat. “Stan Lee,” quickly responded Anders, who was confronted by his castmates to make sure he knew the correct pronunciation of the Marvel icon’s name. “I’m thinking about John Stamos. I just saw him walk by,” added Goodwin. “I’m going with John Stamos.”
