Seriously, the notebooks could be for anything academic. I just think it's a more fitting image.

Ha, ich spreche Grundkenntnisse in Deutsch, ich weiß was das bedeutet. Und ich glaube nicht, dass die deutsche Flagge eine bessere Vertretung der Kultur und der Sprache sein würde, aber es spielt eigentlich keine Rolle, wir können es nicht ändern, wir sind nicht die Fan-Ort-Schöpfer.

There are more countries where the official language is German, e.g. Austria. So the german flag would be a total fail.
