I don't think it should be a criminal offence, but there should be some consequences if you should ever pass a sex disease onto your partner.

^^Well said, mate. Couldn't agree more with you on that. The unprotected sex, both gay & straight, is a main reason for this global AIDS epidemics in the first place. I agree, there should be a law against deliberately infecting a partner with HIV by the means of unprotected sex. Hope someday such a law would to prevent any such act which should most definitely be treated as a crime. P.S. You should choose Perhaps option instead, mate, since we both agree on the matter.

You can always change your vote, you know. To be completely honest, I was expecting a full 100% support, namely 100% of all votes for YES option, or at least 50% for PERHAPS. ^The way the question was phrased sounded like you were asking if we should make unprotected sex in general a criminal offense. I'd imagine that's why so many others voted no. I didn't read the comments before mine, so I didn't realize that you meant those with HIV having unprotected sex - which makes a lot more sense, since making unprotected sex illegal itself would be a very radical thought to have.

I don't think unprotected sex should be illegal, but I do believe that more precautions should be promoted. I also agree with what legend_of_roxas said.

Yes, if we're talking about a person who knows that they have an STD having unprotected sex. That (imo) is basically willingly giving your partner a disease.
