The coda at the end of the song comes directly from Cameroonian saxophonist Manu Dibango's 1972 disco song "Soul Makossa". The coda is "Mama-sah mama-sah ma-ma-coo-sah". Makossa is a Cameroonian সঙ্গীত genre and dance.

""Mama se mama sa ma ma coo sa" from "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" doesn't actually mean anything (according to "Rolling Stone"). It's just a cool sound effect, like they use in the songs from Cameroon.

Duala is spoken in Douala, Cameroon's largest city, which has long been a musical hotbed. Since the 1960s, Cameroonian pop সঙ্গীত has been dominated দ্বারা a rhythmic style of dance সঙ্গীত from Douala known as makossa. The Duala word makossa is often glossed as "(I) dance" (as in this প্রবন্ধ দ্বারা Cameroonian linguist George Echu). The entry for makossa in the অক্সফোর্ড English Dictionary further explains that makossa is "derivative of kosa 'to peel অথবা remove the skin of (a ফলমূল অথবা vegetable)'; the name refers to the twisting and shaking movements of the dancer."

I dunno, I always thought it was just some of those যেভাবে খুশী sounds. Like "nanana" অথবা "lalala" অথবা whatever.

I thought I had heard it was some kind of African chant অথবা song.

It is an african chant

I think it means something along the lines of "I dance". I've tried finding it out too and that's what I've got.
