Something which occurred to me while going over OUaT clips in preparation for Season 3 (can't wait!) was how fantastic the প্রদর্শনী has been in displaying all sorts of different relationships. This is where the tension between the people who ship different people comes from. All the most জনপ্রিয় ships with Emma are very powerful, very compelling, very attractive story-lines. Going through them all:
Captain Swan: This is a classic story of প্রণয় redeems all. It's a very powerful thought - that your প্রণয় for someone can help them and maybe even fix them. The idea that Hook's feelings for Emma can inspire him to put aside a vendetta that has driven him for the past three centuries is very appealing to some people. Especially when আপনি consider that his quest was driven দ্বারা his very powerful প্রণয় for another woman. If he puts aside his desire for revenge for you, then he's choosing you. He's putting আপনি and your happiness above his পূর্ববর্তি girlfriend who he was exceptionally devoted to. It means he loves আপনি the most and, like I ব্যক্ত before, that's a very powerful thought. Lastly there's the concept that a man can break down your walls; that with him there's no need to worry about being hurt অথবা abandoned; that he can see how badly you've been hurt and how broken আপনি are when no-one else can. When people ship Captain Swan, this is what they see.
SwanFire: I'm not a SwanFire shipper so it's আরো difficult for me to see the nuances to their relationship but the story-line is not without a very attractive message. What I'd imagine draws people to the idea of SwanFire is the long gap between them meeting. That after ten years being apart, and after one of them supposedly moving on, they can still have feelings for each other. The notion that আপনি can affect someone so deeply that even after ten years they still think of you. That even when they're with another they can't quash their feelings for you. When people ship SwanFire this is what appeals to them.
Swan Queen: রাজহাঁস কুইন is easy, there's the obvious এলজিবিটি গোষ্ঠী reason behind it, but there's also the fact that on the surface they can't stand one another. Regina and Emma were at loggerheads for most of the প্রদর্শনী so far, the idea that they're in প্রণয় is, again, very attractive. To think that even if আপনি fight and আপনি scream at one another, if you're in প্রণয় you'll always pull through. Regina has done some horrific things and to think that despite all the terrible things someone can still প্রণয় her is powerful. It's a case of "there is nothing আপনি can do to stop me loving you" and "no matter how terrible the things আপনি do আপনি are always worthy in my eyes of প্রণয় and forgiveness". This is why people ship রাজহাঁস Queen.
So আপনি see, no matter how much আপনি get behind one ship there's always going to be someone who doesn't see it অথবা doesn't find it attractive অথবা doesn't see the chemistry. Depending on what you, personally, find attractive you're going to find different ships appealing. So lastly, please don't say to someone that they're wrong অথবা their ship doesn't have chemistry because আপনি are essentially telling them that their personal preferences/ experiences/ whatever are not real. They may not be real for আপনি but they are for them. So that's not cool.
