Depends. After the whole Death Eaters-Things-Get-Really-Serious-And-Sad-L­ast­-Th­ree­-Bo­oks part or before? (Harry's first three years or his last four?) Before, Severus, because he was at his best point at that time. He was so strict and powerful, but then he weakened after that.

I think, secure in the relationship, I don't think "guilt about Lily" would come to mind for him, at least, not often. I don't think he'd be Lucius' woman all the time. I don't see that man as weakened at all. If anything, Severus Snape got stronger. He had to. Lucius is the one who became weaker.

To be perfectly honest, just as it would be in a real-world relationship, and since they're both strong men, I think it would just depend who was feeling stronger or more in control on any particular night.

Lucius is actually quite an important 'side-character'. He's in almost every book and movie, and the books he's not physically in he's at least mentioned.
