Snape's death *spoiler*

Do আপনি think Snape ব্যক্ত "You have your mother's eyes" to Harry in the book as he did in the movie?
I mean, he told him to look at him and their eyes met. He could have told Harry "you have your mother's eyes" with something like Legilimency, transfer what he was thinking to Harry's mind...

I think they had him say it outright in the movie to drive the point across incase viewers forgot অথবা weren't aware of the fact that Snape felt an unavoidable connection with Harry because he has Lily's eyes.

In the book Rowling was আরো subtle about it and didn't need to worry about saying it outright - book readers were probably much আরো aware of the backstory over all.

To clarify and answer your সেকেন্ড প্রশ্ন - I don't think Snape used Legilimency, what he meant was just implied in his request. Hope this helps!

Yeah আপনি got a point. It really might be just that...but I don't know..

I'm not... entirely sure what you're asking.

EDIT: Ah, I see :p

Well, in the book I think he did it just so he could see Lily's eyes one last time. In the movie, Severus wasn't quite as (I don't want to say developed, but it's kind of the only word that fits) in the book. There needed to be some motive for Harry to take the memories and I think Severus, for the first time ever, mentioning the likeness between Harry was Lily was the push Harry needed.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm asking either xD Well, in the book, Snape's last words were "look at me". Do আপনি think he ব্যক্ত it cause he wanted to see those eyes that reminding him of Lily so much, অথবা cause he wanted to point it out to Harry the way I explane above?

Totally agreed about the character being developed and all - pretty much everything আপনি said!

It dawns on Harry I think right as Severus dies what his words mean. It is the first time in his life that the Potions Master has ever ব্যক্ত a kind thing to him, and the only time he has ever compaired Harry to his Mother. I am glad that they added that line.

I just wish they had included আরো information in The Prince's Tale. Non-book অনুরাগী get the wrong idea. Twice the প্রশ্ন has been brought up to me দ্বারা co-workers, "is Snape Harry's father?" So I have to explain to them the relationship. I'm grateful we got The Prince's Tale, and they did do a good job with what they did include, I just wish they had been closer to canon on a few details.

Possibly, very, very deep inside, on a level he may not have even been totally aware of.

Well said, BH ! For the 1st time, Severus saw someone else in Harry - not James. I loved that line in the movie. I was touched দ্বারা the way Alan Rickman played it, there was a sweetness in his gaze and face when looking at Harry. And Dan played an utterly puzzled Harry at this revelation. Because Severus was not the only one to say to Harry he had his mother's eyes.
