anyways so many kinky ways i could answer this lol but i would definatley say yes, for one thing they both wouldn't have male egos so the banter would be completley different if there was any at all for another thing spike would just generally be completley different like he probably wouldn't have been as shunned by society or as obsessed with his mum or slayers which would obviously make him a completley different person.. i mean vampire

although spike as a girl for one episode would have worked brilliantly for one episode in season 5, just imagine angel trying to pull on the knight in shining armor act for spike and him of course resisting though pride ha ha ha ohhh good times!

Lol, that would be great. I would love to read a fanfic of that. Well, I did read one fanfic set in season five of Angel where Spike is turned into a girl, and Angel get's a bit overprotectively macho and posessive. In the end Spike get's a bit fed up with it and leaves, and the last two chapter's he's back to being a man again.

But that would have been a great episode. Wish Joss would have thought of that.

I think their probably still would have be banter. Maybe a female Spike would have been a little like Darla? Maybe she would have been a tomboy as a human and shunned from Victorian society that way. It's a bit interesting to think about.

Well, I think if Spike was a beautiful chipped vampire, trapped in the Intiative, something worse might have happened to 'her'.

But I don't know, would Buffy have accepted taking in a female vampire Spike? Exspecially if she had an intimate sexual relationship with her ex-lover? I think Willow would have felt compassion, Xander might have because he seems to treat female vamps a little bit differently.

i'm not sure i think willow would have been even nicer and i think if buffy wasn't aware of past sexual relations like i highly doubt angel told her of that one night with spike lol then i think she might have been less harsh, spike just seems to rub her all the wrong with male egoness and sexual inuendos

There are some Spike/Riley fanfics out there, and some of Riley raping Spike in the Intiative.

Think maybe Buffy would have turned bi and still ended up with Spike, or would they have made Willow do her whole gay experience with her? Lol, just theorizing.

hmmmm not sure, i don't think the show would of had 2 main lesbian couples living all together, it would have gotten even more uproar and some seriously kinky fan fics lol

lack of other males characters make it hard to theorize other storylines, what about willow stealing anya then we would have too love/hate banter going on plus a possibly leaving of xander for a bit

Oh, fer suuure. When Dru first brought Spike home, can you imagine how different things would've been? Instead of screwing Dru to make Spike jealous, he might've tortured Dru by trying to steal her new pet. And can you imagine the Spike/Buffy relationship? Lol.

There's a lot of hypotheticals involved. Had he been a girl, the Spike/Buffy thing may not have happened and he therefore wouldn't have a soul.. So unless he was like Harmony, soulless but still part of the team, I don't see him fitting in with the team in S5 AtS. If he were a girl who still had the soul tho, I can see him replacing Nina as Angel's love interest for Season Five and the seasons after that.

Angelus and female Spike would be more obviously canon, more than just "that one time". Spike might have been introduced in a similar role to Drusilla.

I also can't see Spuffy happening with a female Spike. Didn't Joss Whedon make Willow gay/consider making Willow or Xander gay rather that making Buffy gay because he knew no network would ever risk allowing a gay main character?
