The convicted robber who helped to end a campaign of terror against Steven Gerrard was paid £10,000 for his role, it was claimed yesterday.
Self-styled enforcer John Kinsella 'had a word' with gangster George Bromley junior after he allegedly threatened the England footballer in a row over a woman.

A family friend of Mr Gerrard claimed that £10,000 in cash was paid to Kinsella via another আন্ডারওয়ার্ল্ড figure for his help calling off Bromley in 2003.
The friend said: "Bromley was obsessed with a girl who both he and Steve used to date. They had both বিভক্ত করা from her, but Steve was still friendly and used to visit her at her Anfield home.
"But Bromley saw his car outside and just went off his head. He started following Steve and making threats. Steven and the rest of the family were frantic with worry."
Kinsella allegedly 'suggested' to Bromley that he might end up like his father, a notorious gangster killed in a hit. A spokesman for Mr Gerrard said: "We have no knowledge of this payment and we would be surprised if this was true."
