I slowly opened my eyes. I glanced around my room, then glared at the clock. It was nine in the morning, but to me it felt like it was six. Ugh. I uncurled myself- I alwase fall asleep curled up- and got dressed. Today wasn't a very special day, so I wasn't wearing anything special. I trotted down stairs and into the living room. Christopher was sitting on the couch- he is so lucky he didn't do anything to my ঘোড়া বিষয়ক অথবা books- Elise was painting her nails, and Sara was listening to her আইপড and watching Andrea and Steven-my foster father- play chess.
"Were's Billy?" I asked, plopping down on the couch. Elise looked up.
"He's at his girlfriends house. She's coming over later."
"Yes she is, so I want NO pranks অথবা tricks like yesterday." Andrea glared at Chris, then looked at me like I might do something to get him back. Well,...................
Five hours later, I was streached out on the soft ঘাস enjoying the sunlights warmth, when a car pulls up in the driveway. I opened one eye and saw Billy's blue car. He was driving, and his girlfriend Lili was in shotgun. She looked worried about something, and he was trying to reassure her. They hadn't noticed me yet, so I crawled around to the side and pressed my ear against the cool metal.
"..... Wont take it well, আপনি sister Sara was nice but আপনি could tell that she didn't like আপনি going out with me, let alone marry.". My jaw dropped a mile. WHAT?
"Dont worry, she'll be fine. And if none of them like it, we can run away together." my brother put a hand on Lili's shoulder, and I glanced in. He had a স্বর্ণ band around his ring finger! He leaned in to চুম্বন her, and she did the same. I rested my arms at the base of the window, biting my lip so I wouldn't screech. When he pulled away from her, though, I saw the ring again and couldn't help it. I had to tell everyone else. But unfortunately, I did screech. Billy and Lili looked around in confusion, then Billy's head snapped around to face me. Lili followed his gaze and stared at me. I twiched my eyebrow up, then world around.
"She's going to tell them!" I heard my brother shout. Since she was closer, Lili got to me first. She tackled me from behind, and I leaned back so I wouldn't fall. She shoved me to the side, but I dragged her down with me. We landed with a thump, and she started holding me down. I'll admit, she was strong. I stopes wriggling, and sighed, defeated. She loosened her grip, and I started to count backwards from five in my head. I felt her relax a little, and I took advantage. I twisted and rammed my elbow into her side, and got up a quickly as possible.
"Sorry, Lili. Hope that didn't hurt so much." I spun around and ran to the steps. But I never made it. Billy cought me and had me pinned to the ground. Unfortunatly, he knew my plans, and wouldn't loosen his grip অথবা relax. I frowned.
"Whats the big deal? I mean, come on, your going to tell them anyways.". I complained.
"Comeing from you, it would sound like we were having a secret wedding অথবা that it was a bit of gossip আপনি just have to share. I think it would sound better coming from us." Billy said. "Now, promise আপনি won't run of to tell them if I let আপনি go."
" Fine, fine. I promise I won't."
"No crosses." He warned.
"Um, আপনি holding my hands down. I don't think I can.". He nodded and slowly got up. I stayed down as he and Lili walked up the steps. I counted the মিনিট until I heard the shouts from inside. Exactly four মিনিট and fourteen seconds. I stared up at the clouds, relishing this moment for as long as it lasts, compared to the busy-ness that will follow.
"Dawn! Come here and help us with with wedding preparations!" Andrea shouted from the door. I sighed. It only lasted ten মিনিট and twenty-seven seconds.
I walked into the room to see everyone exept Chris pouring over বই with poctures of dresses and ফুলেরডালি and cakes. Chris was talking to Billy, about who knows what. I sat down পরবর্তি to Lili, who was holding a picture of a ফুল arrangement.
"Oh, Dawn, what do আপনি think?" Lili turned to me."Should I get fake অথবা real flowers?"
"Real. fake ফুলেরডালি look tacky and cheep." I immediately responded. For the rest of the day, I helped narrow down the options of the dress, flowers, and location. And trust me, this wedding stuff is harder than it looks.

I'll admit, it was really beautiful.
"Well, go try it on, then!" Elise ushered her into the dressing room. I plopped down on the arm chair, sighing.
"That was quick. It usually takes forever to find a dress for her. " Lili's best friend, Annie, commented. I grinned to myself.
"I know. I hope it fits." Elise said. Just then Lili came out. She look fantastic in the dress.
"Well, what do আপনি think?" Lili twirled in a বৃত্ত of white fabric and diamond. I clapped.

"Okay, so, the color scheme for the wedding is white, blue and lavender, so lets find a lavender dress and we can get blue accessories." we shifted through the dresses until Elise found something.
"What about this one?"She held up a light lavender, strapless dress that had a শীর্ষ that was folded in twice, a natural waist line, and a loose স্কার্ট that came down to my knee.

When we walked out of the store, Lili asked wear we were going to get blue accessories. That, I knew.
"Easy. We don't have to get any blue jewelry, we could just tie a peace one inch blue ribbon around everyones neck, and tie it in a big bow at the back."
Lili blinked. " Wow, that was easy." Annie commented. I grinned, proud of myself. I let my gaze wander to the people around us. As we walked farther from the store to the car, a smell I haven't smelled in a really long time came to my noise. I stopped dead in my tracks, smile gone. It took a moment for the others to realize I stopped, but I didn't notice. My eyes were to busy darting from one person to the next, searching for whoever had that smell.
"Dawn? Are আপনি okay?" Sara asked.
"Do আপনি guys smell that?". It reminded me of my childhood, which, unlike some people, I didn't want to be reminded of.
"Smell what? It smells like it allwase does." Annie said. I shook my head.
"No, THAT smell. It smells like.......like.....Vermont."
"Um,none of us have been to Vermont. We don't know what it smells like.". Andrea gazed at me, concerned. I shivered. I had never told my foster family about me before they found me in the forest when I was four. I never told them about...... My eyes settled on a woman with pale skin, curly brown hair, golden-brown eyes, a small yet powerful stature, and a slightly crooked noise.
"Dawn, are আপনি sure your okay? আপনি look like your about to kill someone." Annie asked. I hadn't realized it, but my jaw was locked, my hands had balled into fists, and I was clearly glaring.
"I wish I had........ How could she find me?.......... I thought I হারিয়ে গেছে her.........." I muttered, then trailed of as the woman started towards me. A million thoughgts raced through my head, and I would have dropped into a hunting crouch if I hadn't been standing in a mall. Elise followed my gaze and spotted the woman too.
"Who's she? Someone আপনি used to know?". She asked.
I nodded."Unfortunately.......... I'm related to her.............."I could tell they were dying to know, but didn't want to push me incase I attacked. I lifted my chin defiantly and said, " Thats my 'mom'."
