The cub came upon it suddenly. It was his own fault. He had been careless. He had left the cave and run down to the stream to drink. It might have been that he took no notice because he was heavy with sleep. (He had been out all night on the meat-trail, and had but just then awakened.) And his carelessness might have been due to the familiarity of the trail to the pool. He had travelled it often, and nothing had ever happened on it.

He went down past the blasted pine, crossed the open space, and trotted in amongst the trees. Then, at the same instant, he saw and smelt. Before...

Malik

Malik, an Arctic subspecies of the gray wolf, was born May 8, 2000 and is a brother to Shadow. Malik is very curious নেকড়ে that shows little intimidation with strangers. He's described as easy-going দ্বারা the নেকড়ে care staff and can be easily distracted দ্বারা just about anything. Malik was placed in the Retired Pack in November 2009.

Transformation into নেকড়ে is a favourite subject of Irish legend, and many a wild tale is told দ্বারা the peasants round the turf আগুন in the winter nights of strange adventures with wolves. Grizzer

Grizzer, a Great Plains subspecies of the gray wolf, was born on May 5, 2004. He is a littermate to Maya and has matured into a strong and big (120+ lb)... adult male. He was removed from the Exhibit Pack in March 2011 after the tragic loss of his littermate, Maya. It was determined that Grizzer had been losing confidence in his status and without the dominance of his littermate, he couldn't compete with the younger packmates. Grizzer is retired, but not currently living with the other retired wolves, Shadow and Malik. During the summer of 2011, an alternate enclosure is being planned...

WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The National Zoo is welcoming the birth of four maned নেকড়ে pups at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Va.

National Zoo officials say the pups were born to 8-year-old Salina and 4-year-old Nopal. Keepers are monitoring the pups closely because maned নেকড়ে pups have a 50 percent mortality rate in the first month, according to zoo officials.

According to the National Zoo, the pups were born Jan. 5 and are the first litter born at the Front Royal location in two years. According to National Zoo officials, 72 maned নেকড়ে pups have been born at the Front...

He started out life as he wanted to live it, gentally nurtured দ্বারা the tete of নেকড়ে strength. His pack was a good one, he had it all; A mother a father and a pack that loved him dearly.

One দিন a horrible আগুন broke out over the packs domain killing most of their number, saved দ্বারা his mother that perched him high on a cliff before plummeting into the firey abyss below-she was never seen again. His father died also. Alone he roams; looking for a pack to call his home.

Has he found it in the anubians নেকড়ে pack? Will they accept him here? These thoughts ravage his head as he enters the anubians pack domain. He boldly steps up to take his place among the pack ranks and form a new life he can call his own.

As soon as I snapped the twig and saw my only meal I was probably gonna get run away I noticed a নেকড়ে going after them. I walked out of the brush and looked at it.
