I loathe this pairing. I can't stand them together. Leonard's character has always annoyed me a little, however, I understand he is definitely needed. I agree that they will most likely end up together, which, for me, is pretty disappointing.

No,imo, they have no chemistry and the pairing just doesn't work, they are one of my least favorite paring on tv, I just think they don't fit for each other. I mean in S1 and S2, I thought they were cute, even if I didn't ship them, but when when they got together, Leonard became such a jerk that he was so annoying in the last season and the break up was sad but I think necessary. I know the show will have them back together eventually, but I really would like them for at least 1 season to lay it off.

LP just fight all the time when they're together and Leonard becomes bossy, condescending and MEAN! Penny doesn't just become a worse person, but Leonard definitely does, they DON'T BELONG TOGETHER.

It's a "no" from me too! If Penny can't be with the guy that she has the best chemistry with, a.k.a Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper, then I don't want her to be with anyone else! The Lenny seems completely forced to me!

definitely. the reason they broke up was pretty stupid to begin with, plus its clear they have some unresolved issues. they should at least talk in the near future about how they feel

Even if the fact that I am a SP shipper was thrown completely outta the window, I'd still dislike them together. I feel like Leonard doesn't respect her, he just cares about getting laid. But that's just my opinion. :)

^yeah, he definitally didn't say he loved her to get laid; I mean, they were sleeping together for seven months and she clearly wasn't going anywhere until he did say it and she was exposed for the love-coward that she is. He had no shallow reason to say he loved her, so logic dictates that he does...or did. I wouldn't blame him if he didn't love her anymore, though, to be honest.

Not to mention he didn't have a girlfriend when Howard started sleeping with Leslie, so the fact that he wasn't upset that his friend was getting laid by someone that used to sleep with Leonard...well, if he was just after sex it would have made him jealous. But then he gets jealous whenever Penny's with someone else...even when he was with Leslie, and granted, she wasn't putting out to him at that moment but he didn't seem to mind, and Penny hadn't ever put out to him either at that moment.

I mean, people can dislike a pairing. People can hate a pairing. People can find a couple un-adorable and think they have no chemisty...but I find it hard to make an argument that Leonard didn't love Penny, at least at the time he said it. You can make an argument that Penny did love him back and just couldn't say it because she was scared, or you can make an argument that she really didn't love him and needed to get out of the relationship fast. Of course, until we find out for sure on the show, what she's thought during the break-up ep is an opinion and technically everyone's right. But I think the show made it very clear that Leonard did love her, at least at one time. And people can love that fact, or hate that fact, but I would call that one a fact, not an opinion.

They had their chance. If they come back together, it would be repetitive

They're awesome together. And I'm super confidant they'll end up together so it's easy to get past these hard times.
