They encounter Phineas in Portland, Oregon, and learn that he, like Percy, is a son of Neptune. That is Poseidon in Greek mythology. When Phineas receives the gift of prophecy, he gives away to many secrets that the gods wanted kept. So Jupiter, who is Zeus in Greek mythology,punished him দ্বারা sent Harpies, distasteful bird women, to steal his food. Phineas later died and Gaia, the earth mother, has resurrected him and has granted him his fondest wish and to eat all দিন long anything he want and have the harpies sit and watch him and starve. Not very nice is he? Well, Phineas hopes Gaia will see to it that all of the gods, that's us, will be punished properly. It seems that Phineas is one nasty dude. Percy decides to bring him down.
