Taylor Momsen Reveals Why She Quit অভিনয় 

When Little J left Manhattan, she didn’t look back.

Taylor Momsen, as you know, ditched Nate, Chuck and Queen B to pursue life on the road as a gritty rock star, and while approximately zero of us thought that was a good idea, it turns out TM showed us.

Tay, along with her band The Pretty Reckless, recently became the first woman EVER to land three consecutive No. 1 hits (“Heaven Knows,” “Messed Up World,” and “Follow Me Down”) on the rock charts–a feat not even Stevie Knicks or Joan Jett managed to achieve.

“My reaction was sheer and utter shock,” Taylor laughed. “I really didn’t know if this record was even going to come out, and so to have so much success from it is pretty mind-blowing!”

But…not really. T also says that she’s been an aspiring stage queen for as long as she can remember.

“Ever since I was a little kid, I was always singing and jotting down songs and making up things,” she explained. “You write a lot of bad songs before you write good ones. I had to wait until I got a little older till I actually wrote a record’s worth of material that I wanted the world to hear.”

So does she regret ditching the screen to pursue a life in a (yuck) tour bus?

“No, not at all,” she said firmly. “I quit because I finally could just tour in a band, and I got to a place in my life when I had the luxury of doing that. And a lot of people thought I couldn’t. I think when I quit [acting], everyone thought I was crazy, and now it’s three number ones later, so they were wrong.”

I must admit, I didn’t exactly have high hopes for her and her panda makeup, but just goes to show that even 

don’t know everything…but let’s keep that our little secret…xoxo.

The girl from Brooklyn has the coolest group of BFFs IRL. She’s got Taylor Swift, Nina Dobrev, and Julianne Hough on speed-dial. These gals should partner up on-screen for a coming-of-age series or trilogy following a group of 20-something women trying to thrive and survive the quarter life.

Since leaving the show, Taylor has put all of her energy into music with her band The Pretty Reckless and, well, maintaining that intense smoky eye look. Her band is currently touring the country to promote the album
