Elena loves Stefan, but Damon is the one that breaks Stefan's hold on her and allows to make her own choices and own mistakes. Damon is always pushing Elena to do things she's afraid of and in turn she does the same; this quote probably isn't that important, but when we look at it closely, we can see that Elena wants to push Damon; not in a bad sense, but she wants to break away this invisable force that stops anyone from getting too close to him. I have read countless LJ Smith interviews in which she has stated that she believes আপনি can have আরো than one soulmate in a life time and soul mates don't always last forever. Therefore, having read this from the লেখক of this series, I would to say to everyone when they say Stefan and Elena are soulmates, that yes they may be, but that doesn't mean they will last forever অথবা be end game. They might be, but making things up, particularly when they লেখক is the one that most DE অনুরাগী get their sources from, is just ridiculous.
