It’s been five years since the accident. I was ten years old when my older sister died at the age of seventeen. If she was still alive, she would have the perfect life. At the time she had the perfect boyfriend, perfect grades, perfect friends, and perfect in every other way to me. However I ruined that for her, when I played on that old bridge. It was eight feet above a rapid flowing river that lead to a gushing waterfall. She saved my life, and I am thankful for it. I should have listened to her. I think sometimes that my parents think they হারিয়ে গেছে the wrong daughter. They tell me it wasn’t my fault and they’re glad they didn’t lose both of us, but I cannot help feel it was my fault. I miss her so much as I look out my window that overlooks the river. I remember that দিন if it was yesterday.
I was playing on the bridge. Running, leaping and jumping. The bridge was run down and old. There were floorboards missing, but I still carried on anyway. My sister was on the phone watching me from ten feet away. She yelled be careful Miele, that bridge could break any moment.I ignored her and carried on dancing. I heard a creaking sound while I was in the middle, and then it broke. I heard my sister scream my name, and drop her phone as she came running. The waters were too fast for me, but I felt the currents pulling me under. However my sister grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the current dragging me towards the waterfall. There was a rope hanging from a post from where the bridge was. She told me to grab it and climb up. Once I reached the top, I looked around for my sister, but she was nowhere in sight. I started crying দ্বারা the edge in my soaking wet clothes as sirens were heard. I felt a towel around my shoulders, and looked up to see my parents. Soon rescue teams searched the area for her as I waited inside with my parents, and her বন্ধু who came over. Luckily Bloom was on the line when I fell in and called 911. We waited in silence for an hour, until a knock was heard on the door. It was the police. They found her, but not alive. I cried and ran to my room. Her বন্ধু Bloom, Musa, Layla, Stella and Tecna came up to my room while the guys talked to her boyfriend. They told me it wasn’t my fault, but I couldn’t stop myself from believing it. Eventually they left when I fell asleep crying.
The memory still haunts me. I often think what life would be like if she was still around. I visit her grave on her birthday every বছর which will be tomorrow. She died the দিন before her eighteenth birthday. She would have graduated in two months if she didn’t die. Sometimes I wish magic existed, so I could change what happened on that day.
