gCourtney's POV: The পরবর্তি day, after school I clicked through the তালিকা of contacts on my cell phone, calling my best বন্ধু to see if they want to have a sleepover tonight.

So far I've invited Bridgette, Gwen, Tiannah, Katie, LeShawna, Robyn from the school auditions, and my cousin Kara.

I had everything ready- bowls of chips, pretzels, cheese doodles, candy, and popcorn. Sodas of lots of kinds were placed perfectly on the টেবিল with the food, cans and 2-liter bottles standing in harmony. Pillows and blankets were strewn all over my room, makeup chests rested on the foot of my bed. My room was white and pink, so basically my room just screamed "NO BOYS!"

Later that night, the doorbell rang, and all the girls poured into my room.

"OMG Courtney, this looks so adorable!" Kara played with a lock of her long blonde hair.

"Ugh, maybe TOO adorable." Gwen icked at the পরাকাষ্ঠা room.

I giggled. "OK, snacks and drinks are on the table, CDs are দ্বারা the stereo, and makeup is on my bed." I told the girls, and they shrieked and ran to their stations.

I laughed at them. They are so much fun, I just HAD to invite them.

I had to do something, so I sat on my বিছানা on my laptop and searched গুগুল for information on ভ্যাম্পায়ার to learn আরো about Duncan.

Then, I stifled a scream below the blaring music. There was the picture I found in my old house, on a page of pictures on Google. The picture was linked to a Wikipedia link, so I clicked it, and it popped up about Darren Shan and about Duncan.

I automatically knew nobody would have seen this already besides me because a: this is only shown in our area of northern Canada because Duncan must've blocked it off, and b: nobody uses Wikipedia.

The page was just filled with information. Duncan had a disorder at birth, his genes were dangerously affected from his mother having cancer during her pregnancy, Duncan being a vampire since birth, him only being a half-vampire. He is able to flit and turn into a bat, but he's not bloodsucking অথবা bloodthirsty.

I wanted to close the page, down deep in my brain, but my হৃদয় refused to let me shut it down.

I returned my mind to the slumber party. Tiannah, Gwen, and LeShawna were listening to এমিনেম on my stereo, Katie and Kara were giving each other makeovers while eating pretzels, so I decided to join.

We were so silly; Kara let me smear পরাকাষ্ঠা lipstick all over her face and we burst out into giggles. Katie had blue eyeshadow not on her eyes, but her cheeks. We all burst out laughing, and soon we crashed and fell asleep. Everyone.

Duncan's POV: I knew Courtney was having a slumber party, so I decided to crash it. Why? Eh, I don't know. I'm bored and I want to watch her squirm :)

I texted my cousin Danny and in no freakin time at all, he was দ্বারা my side with a bag of stuff.

"What the fuck is that?" I motioned the large bag that looked like Santa's sack.

"Trust me bra, this is what I live for." He pointed to Courtney's open window.

I snickered and fist-pounded him.

He looked as if he could be my brother; he had midnight black hair, silver eyes, a silver eyebrow piercing, but he was emo. Yea...I'm not emo, that's just weird. I'm goth but I kinda have to be, since I'm a fucking bloodsucking monster.

"Dude." I realized. "We can just use the front door? Her parents aren't home."

"Oh..." He drawled, and I chuckled at his temporary stupidity.

"Now c'mon." I slipped on a pair of black leather gloves and we advanced into the house.

The house was cold and lifeless; it was as if it was abandoned, but that's what I want, for Courtney and her বন্ধু to be asleep. Hehehe, this is gonna be so much fun!

Danny and I quietly advanced into Courtney's dark room, and the soft sounds of snoring could be heard. I tapped his shoulder, pressed my finger against my lips, and handed him a few bottles.

I took a small bottle of honey and a container of live worms and went ahead and did my damaage.

Courtney's POV: I awoke, and screamed.

My body was COVERED in gooey...slimy....jiggly.....GREEN JELLY!!

I shrieked and ewwed. The other girls woke up from my screams, and they joined the chaos.

Tiannah was covered head-and-foot with black goo, must be tar, Kara and Katie were decorated in Silly String and shaving cream, LeShawna and Gwen were fine but once they stood up, they fell flat on their faces in oil and চকোলেট sauce on the floor. My room was strewn with white string that looked like মাকড়সা web, and I touched the string to find it sticky like মাকড়সা silk.

Then, a large black মাকড়সা traveled down and landed on my nose, and I shrieked, frantically trying to get it off my face.

My house was filled with bloodcurdling screams, I pursed my lips in an angry pout. I knew EXACTLY who did this.

"DUNCAN!!!!"

Duncan's POV: Danny and I hid in a গুল্ম below Courtney's room, literally laughing our asses off, listening to their chaotic screams. Ah, that was SO worth it. I have no idea why we did that, but damn that was so much fun!
