Ugh, Trent is neither psycho or controlling. "Obsessive?" Maybe. but he is NOT psycho. or "controlling."

Yes, I've seen TDA. Trent never stopped Gwen from seeing Duncan... all he did was loose challenges on purpose to help her. So therefore he is not controlling. And the number nine obsession? Wasn't even about Gwen. Not the best way to help Gwen, but Trent is farrr from being psycho. Jeez, I've seen psychos and I've met PSYCHOS, so saying Trent is one is a hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeee exaggeration, really.
No, Gwen did not "steal" Duncan, I agree with that.

Gwen will eventually tire of Duncan's laziness, lack of worth ethic, and always getting into trouble. Trent is definitely not controlling. He was jealous and wanted her attention. Duncan telling her a bunch of crap had a part of why they broke up

When I say controlling, I'm not saying he is controlling as in he is making her do things. I mean that his mannerisms and actions deeply effected Gwen, ultimately "controlling" the way she acted around him and Duncan for that matter.
I found Trent's behavior to be psychotic and obsessive, but that was me. I just find it weird that a guy who already has the girl will go to great lengths (crazy in fact) to keep her, when he didn't have to........and he does this because he is so insecure of himself and his relationship with her.

Okay, that makes more sense. I think he's more jealous than insecure (if that makes any sense! I tend to do that sometimes.). And... I think he thought Gwen was spending too much time with Duncan...

^ You're most likely right.........I think Duncan chose Gwen only because she was his friend and then she was so chill and just accepted him as he was.....faults and all. Trent deeply cared about Gwen, but I feel like that became a huge hinderance to him. He was totally jealous, but I think he was insecure too. I think he thought he wasn't as cool as Duncan or some shit like that, and that's why he tried so hard to make Gwen stay with him.
