Garren wasn't nervous, which surprised him.
Most people would've been scared out of their wits, but he felt.... excited. He was finally learning where the hell he was. Garren absorbed every word Kayleen said, and he slowly understood আরো and more.
As they walked through the front door of the house, Kayleen began explaining everything.
"We, the residents of this land, call this land Feay. It used to be peaceful and a prosperous land. Even the government was decisive and kind, and they cared about their people. That is, until 500 years ago, when the high cha-gar passed away suddenly. No one knows how." The pair reached the edge of the forest, and without warning, Kayleen began walking even faster.
"Cha-gar?" Garren interrupted, trying to keep pace with the hasty young girl. "What আপনি call your 'president' অথবা 'king', except the cha-gar handles most, if not all of the choices he makes, for he is to be the wisest and bravest of all. Except, since the পূর্ববর্তি cha-gar had died unexpectedly, the selection process was rushed, and a weakling was chosen. Unsure of what to do and scared, he began to take উপদেশ from outsiders, who he assumed had আরো experience. Unfortunately, he didn't realize he was actually being controlled and corrupted, until it was too late."
Kayleen paused as they came across a সত্বর moving creek. She bent down and drank some of the refreshing water, Garren caught up to her and did the same. He quickly took a bite of his bread, stuffed the remainder back into his pocket, and continued following Kayleen.
"At once, a dark force corrupted this poor fellow, until he was consumed alive and ceased to exist, in both body and spirit. This force consumed just about every official until it could form a solid body. Everything began to get worse. Floods and earthquakes. Diseases and raids. Droughts and hurricanes. Crops stopped growing on time, and many springs and lakes beame contaminated. It was basically pure hell." Kayleen shuddered as if she had lived during this time, which was impossible.
"No one thought there was any hope of things ever going back to normal. Recently, however, about 100 years ago, a mysterious stranger appeared at our house, and spoke of a savior appearing from a different world with the strength, bravery, and wisdom that surpassed even the cha-gar himself. However, he could only arrive when Feay was on the brink of chaos. My family, therefore, took on the task of trying to summon this savior to kill the dark force, which everyone began to call the EXIST." Garren looked puzzled.
"You make it sound as if your family has tried and failed at this multiple times," Garren stated. Kayleen nodded. "You're the 10th person we've summoned from a different world. I'm the 4th Teleportationer in the family."
"Teleportationer?" Garren asked quizically. Kayleen was about to answer him when she noticed where they were.
"We've made it. Through here." With that, she walked up to a nearby বৃক্ষ with strange, but detailed carvings. They seemed to depict clues and hints about something, but just then, Kayleen walked into the very solid বৃক্ষ and went inside. Before Garren could react, her hand reached out of the বৃক্ষ and yanked Garren through as well.
A bright light temporarily blinded Garren as he tumbled through.
"Welcome to the first trial, supposed savior. Prepare to die."
Special Thanks goes to SilverWings13 (again) for keeping my hopes up and inspiring me to continue to write. You're the best, Silv.
