I think this one is a bit crap but that's for আপনি guys to decide. I just wanted another try at Edward's POV. It starts out in Kayla's POV first.

Kayla’s POV


How the hell did he find out? I had not ব্যক্ত anything and neither had Edward অথবা Jacob. Well, I don’t know about their thoughts. I’m not really paying attention to Edward’s since I’m trying to find the bracelet and Jacob never ব্যক্ত anything at all to Charlie the past week.
How does he know? I asked Edward.
I may have accidentally thought something, Edward replied.
Accidentally?
You were over reacting about the bracelet and I thought that আপনি were reacting just like if Charlie knew আপনি were bitten.
Edward!
I’m sorry! I forgot he could read minds too!
I was watching Charlie carefully and I could see he was trying to contain his anger. His eyes were blazing which was uncommon for his usually melted চকোলেট brown eyes. If I had to choose right now about whom I would rather face, Loren with a bunch of evil minions অথবা Charlie, I would most definitely choose Loren. I considered building a barrier with all the stuff that lay around me but I knew it wouldn’t keep Charlie away. He would knock it all down a thousand times over to get me. EEEK!
“Kayla, what does Edward mean when he ব্যক্ত আপনি were bitten?” Charlie was trying very hard to keep his voice calm and steady. But it wasn’t working. Where was Jasper when আপনি needed him?
“He didn’t say anything about me being bitten,” I said, trying to get out of it দ্বারা playing dumb.
“Kayla!” Charlie forgot all about keeping calm. “He thought আপনি were bitten! What does it mean?”
“That I was bitten,” I stated the obvious.
Charlie inhaled very loudly, stating obviously he was having difficulty controlling his temper.
“Ok, ok, ok!” I said, holding my hands out like I was surrendering. “I was bitten দ্বারা a dog!”
Charlie stopped inhaling mid breath and Edward burst out laughing.
“A dog?” Charlie raised his eyebrows. “A dog bit you?”
“Yes, yes it did. I was out with Edward and it ran up to us, right Edward? And I petted it and Edward told me not to because it was a stray and it could be aggressive but I told him to shut up and I’d do what I like so I continued to pet it and it bit me and the bite got infected and all yellow and pus was pouring out of it and Carlisle had to give me antibiotics and I didn’t want to tell আপনি because it made me feel very very stupid and I am very sorry for being stupid and I promise that it won’t-”
“Kayla, that is the worse lie I have ever heard,” Charlie was shaking his head at my pitiful attempt to lie.
“But it’s true!” I turned to Edward. “Back me up!”
Edward tried to straighten his face but he failed. The guy hardly ever laughs and when he does decide to laugh it is at the most inappropriate time. What was so funny anyway? I got bitten দ্বারা a dog, what is so hilarious? And then I realised. It was the worse lie in the history of worse lies. It was so bad that not even a newborn baby would believe it. A dog bite? I should have ব্যক্ত something like a Felinata bit me. That Charlie would have believed.
“If it was just a dog bite, Kayla,” Charlie said. “Why would আপনি keep it a secret from me, why would Edward react like he did when he thought it and I heard and why is the barrier up in your mind?”

So, my secret was close to being revealed. I was trying my hardest to keep it from Charlie. I had placed the barrier around only my secret so Edward could still hear my thoughts and we could communicate. Was it so bad of me that I didn’t want Charlie to know? I wasn’t who he thought I was. He thought I was this great Azdi and that I would be powerful like my great grandma (I had heard that through my panic) but I wasn’t even a real Azdi anymore. I had this toxin running through my veins, mixing with my blood and changing my entire being. My blood was tainted. I wasn’t worthy enough to be an Azdi anymore. I might as well give up my abilities.
No. আপনি are আরো than worthy to be an Azdi and আপনি will be powerful.
Charlie’s eyes melted when he heard my thoughts. He was just like me, never one to listen in on other’s thoughts, but when আপনি needed information আপনি had to forget privacy. And a sucker for heartbreaking thoughts. Hearing me প্রশ্ন myself and hearing my hurt and sadness was like a sedative. It was just like Jasper was in the room.
“Kayla, never think that,” he ব্যক্ত softly. “You are a real Azdi. So, আপনি don’t fight evil all the time but you’re still young. আপনি have your whole life ahead of you.”
“And probably eternity,” I muttered.
“Eternity?” Charlie’s eyes were burning with প্রশ্ন and curiosity. He wanted to know what was making me feel like this. He was no longer প্রদর্শিত হচ্ছে his anger but that didn’t mean he wasn’t infuriated. He thinks a vampire bit me. Well, he wasn’t far off.

“But I wanted to wait until after graduation,” I said, tears coming to my eyes. “I don’t want to tell him now, Edward. Not now, I’m scared.”
“Don’t be,” Charlie said. “You can tell me anything. I won’t hurt you.”
“It’s not that I’m scared of,” I spoke quietly through my tears. “I’m scared আপনি won’t প্রণয় me anymore.”


Edward’s POV


Kayla was crying silently, the tears falling down her slender cheeks. I hated to see her cry. I always felt it was my fault. This time it was mine. If I wasn’t so careless with my thoughts! I had completely forgotten that Charlie could read thoughts too. But Kayla was crying over the bracelet and I just thought it very amusing that she was reacting over the bracelet like she would if Charlie found out she was bitten and then this happened. Now it looks like I have probably exiled her from her family. God dammit, Edward Cullen, can’t আপনি do anything right?!
She was gripping my hand tightly now. She truly was afraid. She didn’t want to lose Charlie now. They had argued too much in the past year, over me I must say. She almost murdered him because he refused to let her see me and then she left him because I exposed her to vampires. If it wasn’t for me Kayla would have lived happily with Charlie, battling evil অতিপ্রাকৃতিক creatures. But I প্রণয় her so much. At first I didn’t. When she walked into that biology lesson and sat পরবর্তি to me, I had this overwhelming bloodlust for her. I wanted nothing আরো than to bite her neck and drink her sweet warm blood but I controlled myself. It didn’t stop me envisioning ways in which to kill her but I controlled my lust for her blood. When she changed from human to Azdi and I saw her, the lust I felt for her blood changed into unconditional প্রণয় for her. I saw her and immediately I wanted to go to her and চুম্বন her and hold her tight and spend every waking moment with her, which in my case is all the time. For a long time I thought she didn’t feel the same way but when Jasper attempted to eat her and I planned to leave to protect her she realised that she loved me too. Even though Jasper nearly ate her, that was one of my favourite days of my existence. Today was nearing the শীর্ষ ten worst days of my existence. I was putting her through so much pain just দ্বারা standing পরবর্তি to her. How selfish am I? Rather than leave her to spare her this agony of losing her father, I would have her suffer so I didn’t have to feel my হৃদয় ripped from my chest and torn to shreds. But then again if I left, Kayla would only feel the same pain that I would.
Kayla took a deep breath and opened her mouth but no sound came out. She tried again but her lips would not form the words that she needed to speak.
“Help me, Edward,” she pleaded quietly. “I can’t do it on my own.”
Looking into her eyes I felt like crying myself. If it wasn’t for the fact I was a vampire I would be sobbing endless tears for hurting her so. I took a deep breath too, to ready myself for the explanation that would probably cripple Charlie for life. I didn’t want to be the one to tell him. It would only anger him আরো when he found out the entire truth. But Kayla needed me and I would not leave her now.
