Azdis become Azdis when their parents put down the barrier that is around their mind. The barrier is there to protect from any creature that can read minds. They also have special abilities. These can range from telepathy (mind-reading) to being able to produce fireballs with your hands.
Kayla’s abilities are telepathy and telekinesis (moving objects with mind). Her telepathy is selective. She isn’t like Edward who can hear everyone’s thoughts whether he wants to অথবা not.
