I irrevocably believe that the movie will be true to the book.

i sure hope it will be, the only thing is i heard edward and bella meet on a field trip! i dont know about you but one of my favorite parts in the book are from the biology class(:

they changed too many things and situation, putting them in other places and other reactions... hope's great anyway

Can I just ask how can you be disappointed with something that you haven't even seen?

I haven't heard where they meet, I know that they have added a scene in which they go on a field trip, but they have got the Biology room as a scene as well. The movie is not going to be exactly like the book and if that is what you are expecting then you are going to be disappointed.

From every interview that I have seen, it sounds like Catherine Hardwicke and most of the cast feel as strongly about the book as the fans do and have tried to capture the true essence of the book.

Also Stephenie Meyer was on set and she would not excited about it if it was not good or if there was too much of a difference, she already vetoed one screen play that they had come up with. I have faith in them (especially Stephenie) to do right by the books.

I'm not saying it is going to be a great movie (because I don't know) but I'm not going to right it off either. I have said this before in another few comments, seems to me that, some people are all too eager to right this movie off before it has even been watched.

Also how can a movie ruin a book. Everyone knows that the books are better that the movie most of the time. Personally no matter how bad the movie might be, it would not change my opinion of the book.

i know it will not be as good as the book but i will not let it change how i think about the series.
i am definitly going to see it and hope for the best,
the cast is pretty accurate. i mean you can never be perfect.

I look at the book and the movie as two different things. the movie can't be as good as the book, but I think it will be good in its own way. im really excited to see my favorite scenes come to life. :)

I'm nervous that it won't be as good, but as long as I don't have high expectations I'm sure I'll be satisfied.
But yeah I haven't seen it yet so I can't say for sure that it'll disappoint me

They may change some things , but I don't think anything will be too derastic, I bet it will be good.

the only thing i'm worried about, is Edward picking Bella up for the prom. in the pictures, it looks like he got her from her house, when everyone knows that Alice helped her get dressed for prom. if they take that out, i think it will take a lot away from Alice's character.

nobody has seen the movie, so how could you be disappointed? i think that the movie will be equally as good as the book, but who knows

I agree with Curlytop as well.I'm going to be a little sad about the differences, but you can't make a 500-page book into a movie without rolling some things into other ones. I think it will be excellent in it's own way. Anyone who is expecting it to be exactly the same will be sorely dissapointed.

The movie was good. A change or two was only there, but it was seriously awesome. If you had seen the movie without reading the book then you'd know. I watched the first three movies without reading the books. They were awesome. After i read New Moon too, my opinion about the movie didn't change.
