you should watch the tv show "supernatural" , you'll find a lot of examples of supernatural creatures :)
but I agree that you shouldn't use vampires :) it would be too alike twilight :)

Yeah, I suggest not using vampires, I am writing a love story about them, and for the first chapter or so it was compared insanely. But then after they realised the difference.

Ummmm... now for ideas, you could come up with your own, with fantasy there is no limit. But a personal fave of mine is a demon! Angels would be a nice twist as well.
