There they stood, the eight surgical vampires: Bradley, the amusing young vampire, Dunlop, the ugliest of the beautiful vampires, Neptune, the smartest vampire, Pablo, the Spanish vampire with a delicious accent, Sterling, the quietest of the group, Jordan, the clown vampire, Megan, the sweetest of the vampires, and Brittany, the loudest and most misbehaved vampire of the group. The vampires, young and old were about to undergo another one of their thousands of surgeries.
    The man who was undergoing the surgery was a young man named George. George needed a হৃদয় transplant, and was receiving one from his mother who had just died hours earlier. George was lying on the operating table, fully awake and chatting away.
    “So when are আপনি going to put me under?” George cheerfully asked, not scared about the operation.
    “We’re not,” Neptune replied, setting up the surgical equipment. George’s smile twitched, and then turned into a frown.
    “Bu-bu-bu-but you’re cutting into my he-he-heart. That’s going to hurt,” George stuttered, sitting up. In an instant, Brittany pushed him back down.
    “Shut up,” she demanded.
    “This isn’t going to hurt. আপনি won’t feel a thing,” Megan said, putting a reassuring hand on his arm. George looked up at her hopefully.
    “Okay,” George whispered.
    “Are we all set up?” Dunlop asked, and all of the ভ্যাম্পায়ার nodded their heads. “Okay, one, two, three, go!” Dunlop started a stop watch and held a startled George down.
    In a flurry, the ভ্যাম্পায়ার started to operate on George, who wasn’t sedated. They cut him open and cut out his heart. Tools clanged and the hearts were switched as the surgical team seemed to dance around the operating table. The ভ্যাম্পায়ার reattached the হৃদয় and stitched George back up. They attached an IV drip for pain, and George fell unconscious.
    Dunlop hit the stopwatch again. “Two মিনিট and thirty-seven seconds,” he announced, and the other ভ্যাম্পায়ার sighed.
    “Damnit,” Brittany exclaimed, a strand of her brown-black hair falling out of her ponytail.
    “That’s five সেকেন্ড আরো than last time,” Pablo stated, rubbing his gorgeously tan forehead.
    “I bet it was the IV drip. Stupid nurse,” Sterling complained under his breath, kicking the operating table.
    “Sterling, had we gone any faster, we would have killed George,” Neptune smartly replied. Sterling rolled his eyes.
    Meanwhile, Jordan and Bradley were juggling scalpels, seeing who could juggle the most. Jordan dropped one, and Megan, who was across the room, glided over to them and picked up the scalpel just as it was about to fall. She handed it to Bradley, who juggled the new addition with ease.
    Sulking, Jordan walked over to Brittany, who was his friend.
    “Hey,” he said.
    “Piss off,” Brittany replied, punching him in the arm. Jordan staggered over and held his arm.
    “Go to hell,” he argued and walked away to Neptune.
    “We should get George to the recovery room,” Neptune instructed, and the ভ্যাম্পায়ার wheeled George to the recovery room. Kingston, the vampires’ boss, was standing outside of the operating room.
    “Good job again,” Kingston replied, unaware of the surgical vampires.
