The character of the cat Lucifer was largely inspired দ্বারা Ward Kimball, who used his own cat as a model. The Newsweek review of Cinderella singled out Lucifer as one of the movie's highligts, describing him as a "fat and utterably smug house cat whom ডিজনি has dreamed up as a wonderful villain to set against the resident's mice".
