Batman: Dark Detective started with a six-issue arc in 2005. As a kid, I often collected যেভাবে খুশী comics when my grandfather and mom took me to the comic book store. However, I managed to collect all six issues in the original story arc. In order to relive fond memories from the past and to bring attention to ব্যাটম্যান comics, I will be reviewing each issue in the story arc. The review of the first issue is scheduled to come out on February 1st. The reviews of the other five issues will come out in the days following.
Here's some information to know ahead of time:
Batman: Dark Detective serves as a continuation of comics that came out in the 1970s. However, the story arc gives enough flashbacks and exposition to be able to follow along.
A big thing to note is that Bruce Wayne used to be dating Silver St. Cloud. Bruce and Silver loved each other, but things took a dramatic turn when Silver figured out that Bruce was Batman. Because of Bruce's dangerous lifestyle as Batman, Silver left Batman.
The series is seemingly made for adults due to the romance and violence. I was able to handle it as a kid, but it's not as age appropriate as some other versions of Batman.
Some of Batman's closest friends, such as Commissioner Gordon, Batgirl and Robin, aren't in the story. However, Alfred Pennyworth is in the story.
The main villain of the story arc is Joker, but Two-Face and Scarecrow also have prominent roles in the story.
My reviews are intended to be a fair outlook at the story arc. There are some problems that I feel have to be pointed out, including some questionable romances and ব্যাটম্যান saying some things that feel wrong for him to say. However, there are still plenty of things that work well, including scene-stealing villains, some strong emotional scenes, and one of my পছন্দ ব্যাটম্যান comic covers.
