Healing
Kerouh ran through the forest, clearing his mind from the nightmare that had just happened. He felt dead inside, he didn’t want to live anymore. But as he remembered the two pups, it raised some hope inside him, that there was still his family with him.
After spending his time alone in the forest, he went back to the গর্ত to freshen up. Then a light grey wolf, with a brown marking around his eyes, like a mask with light brown eyes, walked up to Kerouh.
“What will we do now Kerouh?” He asked, hoping he was in a better mood now.
“We have to সরানো to another den, Derathe” He then sighed depressed. “We will সরানো tomorrow, when everyone will be ready.” And with that, he nodded and padded off, telling the news to the pack.
After everyone ate, horrified and sad for what happened, they wondered what would happen to the pack, would they all die, one দ্বারা one?
When the night came, Kerouh greeted Curra and layed down with his pups.
“I know আপনি must be hurt inside, Kerouh…” Curra ব্যক্ত staring at the pups “But, আপনি still have these pups to take care of…”
“I know, mother, but-” He gave a low growl and closed his eyes, remembering his mate before he left her with the pups, before they went hunting. He thought to himself, I should have stayed there, but she insisted for him to go, to help the other wolves. “But I wanted this family to last, like a real family… But that awful bear. It killed her, killed me inside… I don’t know if I want to live anymore mother…”
Curra sighed understanding his situation “Kerouh, I know how আপনি feel… Remember your father, Khye?” He nodded and grudged but he let her speak again “Well, when his time came, I felt dead inside, like you. I didn’t want to live anymore. But when I realized আপনি were still here, with your brothers and sister, I remembered that if I still took care of আপনি guys, I would see your grandchildren and live life, knowing that I raised four little pups to adults. Then, I would rest in peace when my time would come.”
He understood his mother, and it raised hope inside him, he then nuzzled his mother and stared at his pups happily while they were lying beside her stomach.
“Now, we must sleep. Goodnight sweetie” He gave a low growl at his mother for saying “sweetie” for he was not a pup anymore, but he shrugged it off and slept.
The পরবর্তি morning, he woke up as the sun was rising, and stretched his strong legs and sat down beside his mother waking her up.
“Wake up, we must go now” He ব্যক্ত nudging his mother. She woke up smiling and got up slowly, making sure the pups would not get hurt.
“Where to Kerouh?” She ব্যক্ত while stretching. He shakes his head.
“We’ll keep going till we’ll find something…” She sighed, smiled and layed with the pups again.
Kerouh ran up a giant বৃক্ষ near the den, which was their meeting place, and howled for everyone to wake up. After they woke up, they all went to the meeting place and he gave the orders “We must go right now, before the sun gets higher.”
They walked away from the den, seeing their last memory of their original den.
