Names don't really matter, so long as you create the character through actions, speech, thoughts, etc. Dude, I know this girl named Jasmine. You'd think brat, prep, right? She's the school slut. I'm telling you, you could probably have a villan named Rose if you wanted.

I'm so so sorry. Just reading them made me laugh. It sounds like names for unfortunate rich Victorian kids whose parents hate their kids. But maybe the reason they're eveil is because of their unfortunate names. Your evil people don't have to have elaborate, unique names. My evil person is called Ethan Fur (but people don't know that -- they call him Evil or The One or Him - whichever)

It's not so much that they don't sound evil, a name doesn't have to sound evil to have the character be evil- evil people can be ironic with their names - it's that the names sound made up. Lonnie is the only name I've heard before and it was short for Velondra.

Remember the name doesn't need to be made up or sound ridiculous to have more power. Usually weird names turn people away unless it's science fiction. Try picking names of the time period that are a little more common. Unique names can justify a "mary-sue/gary-stew". Get more basic without losing your unique characteristics.

The names themselves aren't that scary, but it's the character that has to be evil. Your charcter could be a dude named Leslie but if you crated him the right way, he could be a total bad ass. Heck, SpongeBob could be evil if you were really creative. ps... I like Dullcy the best.

None of them sound particularly scary, but villains don't always have to have evil names.

When parents give their child a name, they don´t already know its character. So the name doesn´t say anything about a person and you can chose every name you want.

But I think it´s less easy to give animals a name that fits with the character, because normaly people already know how the animal is like so they have to give it a name that fits with it. To find such a name can be difficult.

scary names- not silly rich kid names- ya gotta see what the characters like and from their evil personality you can name 'em, it's just easier, if I had to pick I'd pick none or the one I already picked. Lower your expectations- which I mean to don't try so hard. For me I look at a sign and mix up the letters and they sound freaky- just think- or who know's maybe when you go somewhere a name pops up- keep a notebook by your bed so if your dreaming and one pops up wake up and jot it down.
