Her footsteps pounded on the ground. She heard him behind her and kept going. Don't look back. He'll take you. She's close by. Keep going. Don't look back! The voice echoed in her head, spurring her on. She wouldn't loose to him. Not now. She had come far in a few hours. Her powers were stable. Her abilities were strong.
The shadows had taught her. This host is perfect. Everything I need. The voice spoke again, eyes shinning bright red. She panted, running still. His steps started to fade behind her. She slowed a little and tripped. She got up and pulled out her weapon.
“Come out monster! আপনি don't scare me.”
His voice echoed all around her.
“Maybe not. But I know what does. Release the child!”
She turned and found nothing. She turned back to find him standing before her. She screamed and scratched him with her bladed shirken. He seemed to ignore the pain and stepped back, blocking his face as she came in for another attack.
She came again and again, each time causing deeper wounds. He kicked her in the stomach and upper cut her in the jaw. She stumbled backwards, crying out. She heard the lock of a gun and looked at him with her glowing red eyes.
“Go ahead monster. Do it!”
“Release her!”
“Fool!”
“Release the child!”
“It was your fault! আপনি trained her, আপনি let the shadows protect her! The girl's soul is mine!”
He growled and put pressure on the trigger. But before he could shoot, a dagger came from no where. He saw where it was headed and blocked the path. It entered his skin. He felt a rib shatter and his lung get punctured. Blood pooled out of the wound. All he saw was darkness and pain. He fell to his knees, pulled the dagger out, and lay on the ground. Her eyes flicked from red to brown.
“Terror!!!!”
She knelt beside him and rolled him over. His eyes wandered before focusing on her. A smile came to his lips.
“I-I got আপনি back...”
She looked at his torn attire. His body was covered in dirt and blood. Tears came to her eyes.
“No. No don't go! Please don't leave me!”
He lifted a hand and cupped her cheek.
“Don't mourn...for me...Lizzie. You'll...help save...millions. I'm...only a monster...”
“No! You're so much আরো than that! Terror!”
“Thanks...for the memories.”
“Terror I প্রণয় you!”
Tears leaked from her eyes and then fell quickly. He smiled at her.
“I...know...”
“Please don't leave me Terror! I need you! The world needs you! You're my family!”
He breathed out a laugh.
“Fear shall...always remain...All আপনি have...to do is...conquer it. Not...everyone needs a....ring of hope. All আপনি have....Liz...is inside...”
“Terror-”
“I'll see আপনি again.”
