"Damn it!" I said, "Stupid computer, it so slow." I shut the purple laptop closed, harshly, and put my head in my hands. I was sitting in my shabby apartment in Gotham, trying to locate that one insane villain I’ve been chasing for years, the Joker. I looked for reports and sightings, but he hasn't been seen in days ever since his last crime.
"Rene, calm down," my boyfriend Kent said,” he'll প্রদর্শনী up eventually."
"Whatever," I ব্যক্ত as I shot him a dirty look and ran into my room. I laid on the bed, head facing the ceiling. What if I can't find him, I thought, what if this is just a waste of my time? I went back out to the living room and grabbed my computer and cell phone; and as I walked back in my room, my justice league watch went off.
“Hello, Rene?” ব্যক্ত Nightwing, “We need আপনি hear for a special mission.”
“I’m on my way, give me 1 minute.” I ran into my closet and pulled out my hero outfit. It was a blue tank top, ripped jeggings, and blue combat boots. I decided to wear the mask Robin had প্রদত্ত to me a couple years back. Then I ran over to Kent, who wished me luck, kissed him, and teleported to the mountain.
I teleported right behind Nightwing and tapped him on the shoulder, and as he turned around I shouted “BOO!” in his face.
“Rene,” he ব্যক্ত as he was panting, “you scared me!” I started laughing hysterically.
“You should have seen your face,” I ব্যক্ত laughing, “too funny.”    
“Rene, good to see আপনি again,” ব্যক্ত a voice, “It’s me, Maxine.” Holy crap, I hadn’t seen her in years. I ran up to Maxine and hugged her.
“Maxine!” I yelled, “I missed আপনি so much!” Maxine tried to pry me off, but my grip was to strong, so she hugged me back.
“It is good to see আপনি to Rene,” she chuckled, “now please get off.” I slowly got off of her, but then gripped on to her again. She rolled her eyes and I let go.
“Good to see আপনি Maxine,” He went up and hugged her.
“Good to see আপনি too Grayson.” She smiled and broke away from him. She was wearing her hero outfit, black long sleeve shirt, skinny jeans, and black জরি up কনভার্স sneakers; and her hair was pulled back into a ponytail.
“Whoa, Maxine, when did আপনি dye your hair?” I asked, “It looks really good!”
“Thanks! I dyed it about 2 months ago.” It was platinum blonde with green ends.
“Um, Maxine,” ব্যক্ত Nightwing, “have আপনি seen Rosie? I called her, but she did not answer so a left a message.”
“Wait, Rosie’s on this mission too! I know where she is, I think.” I said.
“Really?” the two of them ব্যক্ত simultaneously.
“I ব্যক্ত I THINK! I remember, she called me a couple days ago, she ব্যক্ত she was going to, somewhere.” I was still kind off asleep, so I was trying to think; but they thought I was trying to mess with them. Plus, because they know me pretty well, so they know when I’m trying to mess with them.
“Rene, are আপনি freaking kidding me? I thought আপনি ব্যক্ত আপনি knew where she was?” Maxine yelled in my face.
“You know আপনি don’t want to get her mad Maxine,” ব্যক্ত Nightwing, “remember what happened 3 years ago.” She looked so embarrassed she turned beet red.
“Sorry Rene, I’ll get আপনি রস box later, OK?” she said.
“Yay,” I screamed as I started jumping up and down, and then tripped over myself. Luckily, Maxine caught me.
“Sorry, Mercy and I pulled an all-nighter last night. It was so much fun, আপনি should have been there,” I ব্যক্ত as I started laughing, then I stopped, “maybe not.” They looked suspicious, but Nightwing brought up the original question.
“Rene.” I nodded, “where is Rosie,” asked Nightwing. I sat down on the পালঙ্ক and started to think, and Maxine ran into the kitchen.
“What are আপনি doing Maxine?” Nightwing ব্যক্ত curiously. She ran back into the room and handed me something.
“Here’s a রস Rene, maybe it will help jog your memory.”
"Thanks Max!” I sipped, slowly, as the two of them stared at me, waiting for my পরবর্তি response. I sat quietly, cuddled পরবর্তি to a pillow, thinking about the question. Maxine looked hilarious, she was sitting at a table, arms sprawled out, staring at me with enormous eyes, just waiting; and waiting. Nightwing was sitting, just পাঠ করা a book on hydromechanics. All of a sudden, my phone rang, and it was Mercy.
“Hey Mercy, yea, yesterday was awesome. That was hysterical,” I started laughing my brains out, “OK, well, I’ll talk to আপনি later, bye!” and I hung up; and continued to sip my রস slowly.
“Mm, ফলমূল punch,” I mumbled. Maxine looked like she was about to kill me if I did not answer soon. Nightwing was completely ignoring me, but I could totally tell he was waiting impatiently.
“I got it,” I said, “She went to Canada to see some relatives.” Maxine looked pissed off, and Nightwing was neutral, as always.
“Well, it looks like it will just be the two of you,” he said, “now, this mission is very important. It will take a bit of time, which means আপনি will need to do research, investigations, stuff like that. This mission has to do with the injustice league. Everyone else is still helping to take down the injustice league, but they will not know exactly what is going on. The only ones who know are the league, Superboy, Megan, La’gaan, and Robin. The others cannot find out, they are not ready.”
“OK,” ব্যক্ত Maxine.
“Oh, and Rene?” ব্যক্ত Nightwing. I nodded and then sipped my রস box, “do not tell Mercy.” I was puzzled.
“Why?"
“Because then the mission will be ruined. Mercy, will want to try and help, but she cannot. She acts to childish.”
“Then why is Rene on the mission? No offence Rene,” Maxine said.
“None taken, hey, can আপনি grab me another রস box?” The রস box made that really sad noise, emptiness.
“Because ব্যাটম্যান ব্যক্ত she was,” he said.
“Look for the Bare Necessities,” I began singing; and then started humming because Maxine gave me an evil look as she gave my new রস box. I frowned down at my juice.
“What’s wrong Rene?” asked Nightwing.
“I don’t like আঙ্গুর juice, I like ফলমূল punch.” I sat there, with my arms crossed, pouting.
“Maxine,” he ব্যক্ত as he chuckled, “can আপনি please get Rene a ফলমূল মুষ্ট্যাঘাত রস box.” I gave Maxine my রস box, and she grabbed it out of my hand and stormed into the kitchen. Nightwing swiveled in his chair and turned towards his computer. I slowly crept up to him and tapped his shoulder; and as he turned around, I teleported away. When he turned back to the computer, I was sitting right পরবর্তি to it.
“Rene, stop doing that!” he shouted, out of breath.
“You would think that after all these বছর I’ve known you, আপনি would have gotten used to me sneaking on up on you; অথবা playing little pranks and jokes on you; but since আপনি clearly haven’t, it’s just আরো fun for me!” I started laughing and sat back on the couch. Maxine came back with my রস box, and it was ফলমূল punch.
“Thank আপনি Maxine,” I ব্যক্ত in my really annoying kindergarten voice that scares her.
“Ah, stop it! আপনি know that gives me shivers up my spine,” she shouted. Nightwing and I both started laughing hysterically.
“Stop laughing at me আপনি guys,” she yelled; but we just continued laughing at her. In the middle of are uncontrollably chuckling, my phone rang; and it was Kent.
“Hey Kent, what’s going on?”
“Um, Rene, there’s been a joker sighting in Gotham,” he said.
“Where?” Maxine and Nightwing were curiously listening to the conversation.
“Gotham City Museum, আপনি know where that is right?”
“Yeah, I do, um, meet me there, soon,” I ব্যক্ত and I closed the শীর্ষ of the flip phone.
“Guys, I got to go,” I said.
"What’s going on?” ব্যক্ত Nightwing.
“Joker, Gotham, got to get him,”
“Let us come,” Maxine said, “we can help you.”
“No,” I said, “this is my fight. Let me do it my way.” I threw the রস box on the floor and teleported off the Museum.
“Why won’t she let us help her?” Maxine said. ব্যাটম্যান walked into the room.
“Because she doesn’t need it,” he said, “she can do this on her own.”
