Becca stood nervously outside Wally's door. She didn't know what was going to happen, but she knew Wally all too well. So she'd brought a sorry gift; some of her fresh baked treats. Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door. She heard the sound of footsteps and hung her head. The door opened.
“What do আপনি want?” Wally asked bitterly.
“I came to apologize. Just because I was mad...it wasn't right for me to hurt you. I-I....please forgive me!”
“Is this you're first time apologizing?”
“No...yes...kinda. I've never had to apologize for purposefully hurting someone. The concept of guilt is a little new for me.”
She looked up at him and saw the smile on his face.
“You're forgiven.”
“Thanks.”
Becca walked into his room when he gestured her inside. She sat on the বিছানা and looked at him.
“Quite a collection of dirt আপনি got here Wally.”
He shrugged.
“I try.”
Becca smiled and held out the box of goodies.
“I brought আপনি something. In case আপনি were still mad at me.”
Wally took it and peeked inside. His face lit up when he saw the fresh baked goodies.
“Thanks.”
“No. Thank you. For accepting my apology.”
Wally smiled at her and sat on the bed, leaning against the headboard. Becca moved onto the floor and, in a moment of impulse, she started to clean the mess that was Wally's room.
“Can আপনি tell me why আপনি and Willow broke up?” she asked quietly.
“Are আপনি going to hurt me?”
“No. I just want an explanation. আপনি guys are a part of my family and I deserve an explanation; I'm mixed up because of my actions.”
“Mhmhm...alright. Her life is a secret. I want to know আরো about her. But she always locks that door. And I feel like I'm the one who became the bad guy.”
“You aren't a bad guy. Curiosity is a natural thing for humans and even slightly-altered humans অথবা aliens. It's how we learn. But...everyone has reasons for keeping secrets. I have many. And no matter how hard he tries, Robin still doesn't learn much.”
“How does he deal with it?”
“He sees my secrecy as a challenge, not a closed door. Every time I run with my secrets, Robin is right behind me. For him, it isn't the secret that's important; it's what it takes to open up that secret.”
“Like a game?” Wally asked.
“Exactly. But a very loving one. If he wins, he learns the secret. He either wins অথবা postpones his hunt. Robin will not give up. He loves me so much আরো than the secrets I carry. And I, in turn, respect his secrets and প্রণয় him more.”
“...you two are good for each other.”
“We like to think so.”
Becca straightened up Wally's ডেস্ক and the room was cleaned, minus the বিছানা Wally was resting on. She looked around, satisfied, and fell across Wally's bed.
“Don't give up just yet Wally. Willow wants to fight for আপনি but I convinced her not to. If anyone is to be fighting, it's you. I may not know a lot but I can tell when two people are right for each other. Besides, if my hunch is correct, you'll all be in danger soon enough. Someone is taking extreme measures to watch আপনি all. To tear আপনি all apart. And it's working. The only thing keeping আপনি all together is your love. But he's preparing. And when he gets you, it'll all be over.”
Wally swallowed nervously.
“What does that mean?” he asked.
“I'm not sure yet. But I know it's not good. Please don't let her go. Willow is going to be challenged very soon. She'll need your প্রণয় to get through it.”
