Becca sat in the corner of her room. The lights were off and thunder rumbled outside. The rain fell as constant as her tears and she tried not to shiver in the cold. Willow, Mercy, and Joy had left yesterday. Robin had প্রদত্ত her the news two days earlier. Now she sat, friendless and unloved, away from the rest of the world. She looked at the marks on her wrist, regretting the pain she had craved. A knock sounded at her door.
“Go away!” she screamed.
“Becca, let me talk to you.”
“No! আপনি and ব্যাটম্যান are the last people I want to see! আপনি caused this!”
“But Becca, আপনি need help!”
“That's what everybody says! Why?! If আপনি really wanted to help me, আপনি never would have changed the way things were!”
“We were protecting the others!”
“Morire in paura!”
“What?!”
“Die in fear!”
There was silence from the other end and then Becca found her door kicked open. Black Canary stepped into the room. Becca shot daggers at her.
“Becca, আপনি need help! And I'm going to give it to আপনি whether আপনি like it অথবা not!”
“Tell ব্যাটম্যান to place me in Arkham! It's not as bad as you!”
Black Canary grabbed Becca's arm, causing the girl to cry out. Releasing her, Black Canary looked at the blood on her hands and then at the blood on Becca's wrist.
“Becca, what have আপনি done?”
“The only thing I was allowed!” she sneered.
“Let me help you.”
“No! আপনি hurt me! Go away!”
Becca's scream caused Black Canary to fly backwards. Becca looked with wide eyes at the now unconscious sonic siren. Becca backed against the wall, sinking back into the corner.
“What did I do?”
“Your powers are অভিনয় up. আপনি need help.”
Becca looked at the Dark Knight in her doorway. She looked at her wrists then at him.
“No! আপনি can't help me! আপনি can't fix me!”
“You গাউন Black Canary's powers. I have none. So what are আপনি going to do?”
“Why do আপনি care? আপনি hate me! Ever since I was Slade's apprentice you've hated me! আপনি fooled everyone else. আপনি really want a reason for Robin to get a different girl. Now আপনি have one! So stop trying to fix me! I will never be good enough for you! আপনি may as well stop!”
“Be quiet! Your emotions are on the overload. If আপনি don't calm down, you'll pass out!”
“STOP ORDERING ME AROUND!”
A wave of power spread out from Becca as she stood. ব্যাটম্যান was pushed backwards, but not knocked out. He threw a batarang at her. It sliced her arm and she growled. But it didn't last long. As he caught the thrown amo, Becca fell to the ground in uncomfortable darkness. A sudden blur appeared in front of him. A teenage boy with superspeed.
“OOOO! A boomerang dipped in anesthetics? Cool!”
He sped towards Becca, grabbed her, and sped away. ব্যাটম্যান stared in wonder before pulling out a com link.
“Flash, I'll need your help.”

Chapter 8-

The two bats and a bird fired their grappling lines at the ceiling, Artemis following their example. Robin grabbed Kid Flash and Batgirl Zatanna, dragging them onto the walkway.

"Well, well." Joker said. "The ব্যাটম্যান does it again."
