Silver Wings (POV)
I wasn't quite sure I had heard right.
"Stolen?"
I was so shocked, it took me a full five সেকেন্ড to realize I was the one who had ব্যক্ত it.
"Yes," Aqualad ব্যক্ত plainly. "Stolen." 'How was he অভিনয় so calm?' I wondered.
"The alarm was triggered when the Weapon was stolen. The security system here at Mt.Justice is linked to the Weapon so that when it was stolen, we were immediately notified." 'Robin must have debriefed him while we had been gearing up,' I concluded.
"When was that installed?" Kid Flash cut in.
"Last night," Robin said, matter-of-factly. "It's also linked to the bat cave in the same way."
"How did it get stolen?" I asked, shaking my shock. Everyone looked at me as if they had forgotten I was there. I kept my eyes on Aqualad and Robin to keep from shying away from the pairs of eyes speculating me.
"It was intercepted as it was being transported to Waynelabs," the Atlantian said. "Our mission is to get it back."
A ripple of excitement ran through the teens as the challenge was revealed.
"How are we going to manage that?" I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me. Only when the stares returned to me did the full extint of the operation dawn on me.
"'We' have a plan," Robin informed me, "but 'you' are staying here."
"What?!?" I asked with disbelief, though I had already assumed that. "No way!"
"Silver," Becca said, coming to my side, "it would be better if আপনি stayed here were it's safe."
"Safe?" I said, looking at her incredulously.
"She means," Robin ব্যক্ত defensively, "it'll be a rough mission. The Weapon is a valuable piece of equipment -"
"A valuable piece of equipment that আপনি wouldn't even have if it wasn't for 'me'." I reminded him. "'I' risked 'my' neck to retrieve it in the first place-"
"You mean steal it?" the blonde archer interrupted.
"You were about to do the same thing."
"Yes, but we are 'supposed' to. It was our 'mission' and it's what we 'heroes' do. We defend justice, fight bad guys, and take away their shiny death toys."
"So that gives আপনি automatic dibs over every single "death toy" in existence?"
"Artemis," Gravity Boy said, "she's got a point." She glared at him, "You're siding with her?!?"
"I'm not siding with anyone," GB ব্যক্ত defensively. "I'm just pointing out that the Weapon was fair game."
"Enough," Aqualad ordered. Everyone obediently went quiet. "We're wasting time. The weapon was stolen দ্বারা Cobra's henchmen and taken back to thier layer." He turned to the computer and typed in a command. A holographic 3-deminsional image of a large building appeared. It looked like a university: a large edifice with a large wing stretching off either side. 2 helipads pay lay on the roof. 4 watch towers were scattered across the courtyard. A large brick fence topped with coiled wire circumvented the whole structure.

"Fang will be our guy in the sky." The dark haired boy nodded. "M'gaan will stay in the bioship- camo mode- ready for a quick escape. Robin and Becca will hack through the security systems to get us past the motion sensors in the courtyard and into the building. From there আপনি two will meet up with Scarlet, Kid, and Willow at the north wing." Red dots appeared on the screen as Aqualad pointed them out,"Lucas, Artemis, and Superboy will come with me to infiltrate the south wing. Silver you're coming with us."
I was surprised, but very pleased. Artemis looked very pissed.
"She is?" Robin asked.
"Yes," Aqualad confirmed. "She has experience with infiltration. Plus, she did make a point." Now Artemis looked extremely pissed.
We all went to the hanger. It looked the same as the night before, yet it felt... Different.
20 মিনিট later I sat in the bioship gazing at the view below. Blue. Blue. Blue. That was all there was in the stretch of ocean.
"Switching into camouflage mode,"M'gaan reported. A small island appeared moments later, and on it a building. It was half hidden in the trees, though I could see the helipads from here.

We hovered while Aquaman showed me how to securely fasten a purple clip to my belt. I noticed that the dark haired boy, Fang, wasn't attaching one to his own. I was about to ask why when a large hole opened. He winked at me and dropped through. I ran to the edge and kneeled পরবর্তি to it, my হৃদয় pounding. He fell thirty feet before springing back up to wave at us through the window. Supporting him were two, large black wings, glicining in the sun. I sat a moment, ফ্রোজেন in amazement. Fang smirked when he saw my expressing, and ঘুঘু out of view.
"Quite a sight isn't it," Aqualad ব্যক্ত as I stood. I only nodded, still stunned. I finished clipping my belt.
"Good luck," M'gaan ব্যক্ত pepily.
"Thanks," I ব্যক্ত and followed Aqualad's lead দ্বারা jumping through the hole. I enjoyed the wind wipping around me, a sense of freedom filling me, the purple clip the only thing keeping me from plumitting to my death. Something whizzed past me, close enough to touch. I looked up to see an avenging অ্যাঞ্জেল waving to me. Fang yelled something that sounded like good luck. I bent my knees as the green বৃক্ষ canopy rushed at me.
'Here we go,' I thought as my boots thudded on the earth, four নায়ক landing around me.
