Ultimately I prefer the Classic Isekai I find most have better developed characters and longer episode counts meaning they weren't just created to boost the sales for the source material like modern isekai. My next big complaint on modern isekai which also includes series I enjoy such as Konosuba, Grimgar and Rising Of The Shield Hero is the use RPG mechanics so heavily in the series as someone who isn't a gamer or had the opportunity to play a tabletop RPG those elements such as stats and levels playing a huge part in story structure to be a little off-putting. In fact only High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World is the only modern isekai which use the RPG structure.
P.S. If there are modern isekai that don't rely on it please let me know.
