School has been really stressful and I just totally spaced. Sorry :( I hope this one will be good and make up for it a little.
"Alright Bones! Up and add em'!" Booth said, ripping the blankets off his partner's বিছানা as he did so. He felt unusually light-hearted after his early awakening.
Brennan grumbled and sat up, eyes still closed. She mumbled something about jet-lag, but Booth ignored her.
"We've got a body to look at. Well, আপনি do. I already took a shower, so not it's your turn. I'll be on the balcony setting everything up if আপনি need." And with that, he exited onto the terrace.
Brennan stood slowly, stretching her back. She opened her eyes wearily and was greeted with their brightly lit room. The sun was shining outside, but she could tell the wind was cold. She walked over to her suitcase and pulled out jeans, a blouse, and a blazer. She showered quickly, wanting to start the দিন as soon as she could. While she brushed her teeth and did her hair, she couldn't help but remember the night before. The way Booth had been so uneasy, the awkward vibe in the room. And the way it had all changed this morning. They were comfortable again. They were just like before, partners. But more, at least everyone else thought so.
She continued to dwell on that until a knock on the bathroom door reminded her that Booth was waiting for her.
"I'll be out in a sec." she called."
"Are we getting breakfast before we go? I'm starving." he called back.
"Of course."
She opened the door, and ended up inches from her partner. Flustered, she inched her way around him, making sure to hide her bra among her pajamas. She slid her garments into her suitcase and put on her shoes. When she looked up at Booth, he was in the exact same position, staring at her. He looked as if he wanted to ask her something, but she couldn't read any further.
"What?" she asked nervously.
"Nothing. Ready?" he said, pulling himself together with a grin.
They finished breakfast at the local ভোজনকারী satisfied. Booth had even gotten a piece of pie for dessert. They walked out to the rental car and started on their way to the crime scene. Booth slipped a CD into the player after only a few মিনিট of silence.
"What's this?" asked Bones, listening closely to the music.
"A mix. Foreigner, the Scorpions. That kind of stuff. Do আপনি like it?" he looked over at her, wondering if he shouldn't have brought the CD at all.
"No, I like it. Although I am worried that we'll get blown up." she said, grinning.
He grinned back at her and turned up the volume as "Hot Blooded" started to play.
The rest of the ride was spent with Booth explaining each song as it played and Brennan contradicting the lyrics with actual facts.
"Alright, we found the body Tuesday night, about 9. It was just like that, stickin' up outta the snow. Skiers are sayin' they didn't see it, but we got all their numbers, jus' in case." the local sheriff told them.
Brennan walked over to the remains and knelt পরবর্তি to them. She studied them with her eyes, then put on some latex gloves and began to touch areas and get a 360 degree view.
"Female, mid- to late-twenties. Of Spanish decent. Is this slope used regularly?" she said, turning to face the sheriff.
"Uhh, yeah. It's one o' the most popular." he replied. He glanced at Booth, nervous at being in Dr. Brennan's presence, but Booth jut kept writing.
"Okay, Bones. Murder অথবা স্কিইং accident?"
"Definately murder. See this hairline fracture on the ephmoid bone? It's consistent with having something thrust into the eye. And here? The aveolar process and mandible have been crushed, That's consistent with having your head shoved into a flat surface, like a দেওয়াল অথবা a table." she demonstrated দ্বারা taking Booth's head and putting it right up against an imaginary wall. "I'll have to send the body and surrounding material back to the lab. Hodgins can tell us where she died and Zack will tell us আরো on how." She picked up the portable lab equipment she had brought just in case and started to walk to the car to call her assistant.
"She always, so, uhh, abrupt?" the sheriff asked Booth.
"Yup. আপনি get used to it."
"Are আপনি to...?" he asked, eying Brennan's back.
"No. So, we'll let আপনি know if we get any leads. Until then, i need all the numbers আপনি collected, all the names of the skiers that came in the past week, and a তালিকা of your staff."
Brennan stepped out of the SUV and started to walk towards the hotel. The দিন was pretty uneventful, mostly just packaging the remains and going over legal things with the sheriff. Who, দ্বারা the way, was far too interested in Brennan's breasts. Nevertheless, Brennan was exhausted, and deeply wanted to lie down for the night.
"Hey, Bones? আপনি wanna go get a beer?" Booth called from where he stood, still পরবর্তি to the car. She turned, debating whether she had enough energy, and began to walk back when she decided.
"Sure. But not too late, we'll have to do a lot tomorrow with identification and interviews." she ব্যক্ত as she stepped into the SUV.
They drove for awhile, neither of them knowing where anything was, until they saw a sign that looked promising. The entered the bar and found themselves in a crowded pub with smoke circling their heads.
"Well, it's not that bad, right?" Booth said, coughing.
"No. It's what to be expected, really." ব্যক্ত Brennan as she walked over to the bar to order drinks.
"Heinekin, please." she said.
"Same." ব্যক্ত Booth, meeting her at the bar and setting his hand gently at the small of her back. They stood waiting for a few minutes, then turned to find a টেবিল when their drinks were ready.
They settled on one in the far corner, and made their way to the টেবিল together. They sat and drank for a few minutes, but eventually were inclined towards each other and deep in conversation. Laughs came from their টেবিল every so often, and they went mostly unnoticed দ্বারা others. Finally, after both having had 3 beers making them just a bit tipsy, they decided to head back to the hotel for the night.
I know this isn't actually all that long, but I think it has আরো going on than the others. I hope it was ok, and I'm sorry if there are any grammatical errors.
