Missing Bones
Chapter 1
Booth looked up from his paper work to find his cell phone ringing. Picking it up, he looked to see who was calling.
“Great.” He muttered to himself, as he flipped it open, “Hey boss, what is it?”
“Ahh, Booth,” ব্যক্ত Cullen, “I have a case for you.”
“Okay,” he perked up a little, “Tell me where and when and I’ll go get অস্থি and...”
“No, Booth, a body was found on a ranch in Alberta, Canada. It’s a small town so the cops there had no idea what to do so they phoned D.C for help and we offered them Dr. Brennan.”
“So, why am I in it?”
“Dr. Brennan can be very stubborn, Booth, so I figured if আপনি go too, then she might go along with it.”
“She’s not stubborn she’s just...”
“Booth?”
“Yeah?”
“Shut up.”
“Yes sir.”
“You’re leaving tomorrow,” Cullen continued, “on a 9:30 flight. Your seats are already paid for and you’ll be staying at the ranch. It’s in the mountains so pack warm clothes. And maybe even a camera, I’m told দ্বারা Charlie it’s nice up there. Any questions?”
“Just one. Has Dr. Brennan been told?” Booth asked. The last thing he wanted to do was spring a going away case on Bones. He remembered the last time he had done that. She got so annoyed he swore if she was holding a gun, she would shoot him.

“Oh.” Was all he could say.
“Good luck Seeley.” And with that the line went dead.
He lowered the phone from his ear. For a moment he stared into space. He’d always wondered what অস্থি would look like on a horse. No doubt she’d fall off once অথবা twice. He smiled to himself. Chapter 2
Dr. Temperence Brennan sat in her office at the Jeffersonian, waiting for Booth to arrive, when Angela walked in.
“Hey, what’s with the bag?”she asked.
“A body was found on a ranch in Alberta.” Brennan answered
“Isn’t that up in the Canadian Mountains?”
“Yes. They want me and Booth to help out.”
Angela’s response was so typical even Brennan could have predicted it.
“Ooow. আপনি and Booth, alone, looking at the sun set on the mountains, the cold wind blowing, he reaches over and...”
“Angela!”
“Oh come on sweetie! আপনি know আপনি think he’s hot!”
“Ange! Stop it!” she was about to continue when an excited voice cut her off.
“Hey Bones! Ready to go?”
They were both so wrapped up in arguing that they didn’t even see him coming.
“What? Oh, yeah.” She stood up.
Angela started to walk away but stopped at the door and ব্যক্ত with that smile only she did, “Have fun.” Then she looked at Brennan, who was clearly not impressed, and walked away.
Booth looked from Angela to Brennan, then back to Angela.
“What was that about?” he asked. A puzzled expression loomed his face.
“Don’t worry about it.” She gave him a smile. “Ready to go?”
His charming smile came across his face. “Ready to go.”

One thing he was certain of was that things were going well. And if he played his cards right, she might just like him আরো and things would get even better.
Chapter 3
After their flight landed, they went through the crowd and out into open air, where, to their surprise, a man wearing jeans, riding boots and a wide brimmed hat, walked up to them.
“Are আপনি Dr. Brennan and Agent Booth?” he asked in a worried voice.

Honestly!’ He was annoyed at the fact that someone liked his partner. He didn’t know why and didn’t want to, he was just annoyed. ‘Keep your eyes on the road. I know she’s hot, and I know she’s pretty, and I know she’s probably really good in bed, and probably...’ his thoughts switched from being annoyed and he began to relax. Chapter 4
Brennan woke up early and got dressed. They were right about it being really cold so she threw on a scarf as well. She walked outside where she found Booth leaning against the railing of the veranda. He was wearing jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and boots. To be honest, she thought he looked hot, but she refused to admit it to herself.
“What time did আপনি get up?”she asked, surprised.
“Good morning to আপনি too, Bones.”
“Oh, good morning.”
“And I got up at the same time as everyone else.”
“Who else? There’s no one around.”
“They’ve all gone in for breakfast. I ব্যক্ত I’d wait for you. So let’s go, I’m starving.” and with that, he started down the few steps and toward what seemed to be the main house. She followed him.
They walked in and sat down with four other people.
“Here they are.” ব্যক্ত Jay, “We were just talking about you.”
“Great.” ব্যক্ত Booth with that fake happy tone that goes with his fake happy smile.
“Hi. I’m Sam. The owner of this ranch. This is my wife, Laura,” he ব্যক্ত turning to a woman with red hair, she smiled, “And this is Tony. He’s one of our hired hands.” He nodded his head towards a blond teenager. Brennan guessed that Tony was about 19.
“And you’ve already met Jay.” ব্যক্ত Tony.
“And we have a daughter somewhere, but she’s probably off taking Bow for a ride.” Laura ব্যক্ত with a smile.
After introductions, they finally ate their breakfast, helped Laura with the dishes and went with Sam, Jay, and Tony toward the stables to get their horses.
They came to a শস্যাগার door and Tony slid it open for them. Inside where 10 stalls each with a horse’s head poking out.
“Take your pick.” ব্যক্ত Sam.
Brenna walked down. Booth lingered at the door. “Hey Booth,” called Sam, “can আপনি ride?”
“Yep.” Booth replied.
There were all sorts. Spotted, white, brown, bay, palomino, even grey. After a quick look, Brennan stopped in front of a stall with a white and স্বর্ণ horse. She put her hand out slowly to pat it. The horse nickered and sniffed her hand in a friendly way.
“That’s Dawn. She’d be a good horse for you.” ব্যক্ত Jay, “She’s slow and easy going, just right for a beginner.”
Brennan smiled happily and turned to see which horse Booth had chosen, but he wasn’t in the barn.
“Hey, where’s Booth?” she asked. Every one turned around.

He was leaning against the fence of a small corral, watching horse. Now she had found him, waved to the others and headed down.
“Isn’t he beautiful.” Was all Booth ব্যক্ত when Brennan arrived. He was looking at the horse.
“Looks like a plain horse to me.”
“No, Bones, I mean, look at his structure. He’d be a great jumper. See his long legs. No doubt he’d be fast too.”
“Where did আপনি learn so much about horses?” Booth wasn’t surprised দ্বারা her question. He was expecting Brennan to eventually start wondering. Just like his normal Bones.
“I went to a riding camp once, and I was in the army. It’s kind of hard not to learn.”
“Are আপনি good?” her challenging tone was on now and she had that smile.
“Maybe. Why?” he accepted her challenge, and was now smiling too. They stared at each other for a moment. Brennan didn’t answer because all she could register was the fact that her হৃদয় rate was increasing. Fast. At that moment, Sam, স্থূলবুদ্ধি বাচাল ব্যক্তি and Tony came around the corner.
“What about this one?”Booth asked.

As soon as the horse saw the others, it reared immediately, and started to run and buck around the coral.
“I’d like to try.” Booth said.
The three of them cracked up laughing. Brennan looked at Booth who returned the look of confusion.
“What’s so funny?” Brennan asked. They stopped laughing.
“You’re serious?” ব্যক্ত Tony.
“Man, you’ll get thrown.”Jay commented.
“Get me a saddle and we’ll see.” Booth was serious now.
Sam nodded at Tony who ran off to fetch the tack. Then Sam put his hand on Booth’s shoulder and said, “You go in there at your own risk, আপনি know that?”
“Yes.” Booth shifted the hand away. He didn’t like being touched. Brennan knew that. Then a thought occurred to her. ‘He never pushes me away.’ She thought about that. Then Tony returned with a saddle and bridle. Booth took them and stepped into the ring. What happened was amazing.
