Booth and Brennan walked out of the airport side-by-side, heads turning every direction in খুঁজুন for a cab. Finally, Booth spotted one off in the distance, just pulling up.
"Hey, Bones, there's one down there. I'll get it. আপনি wait here." He ব্যক্ত as he started to jog down the sidewalk towards the bright yellow car. Brennan sighed. This would be a long trip, but hopefully not as long as the others. She felt as if they were closer now, as if they didn't get uncomfortable when they were together outside of work. Almost like they just knew how to react to one another's actions. She waited পরবর্তি to their luggage as Booth rode up to the curb in their taxi. He stepped out to help her put the luggage in, but she was already heaving the bags into the trunk.
"Bones, I could have gotten them, আপনি know." But she didn't reply, she was too হারিয়ে গেছে in her thoughts. Booth gave up waiting for her to respond and followed her into the cab.
The two partners walked into the hotel, looking just as anyone who had waited for 3 hours for a rental car. Booth led the way to the front desk, dropped his suitcase on the floor দ্বারা his feet, and sighed.
"We'd like two rooms, please." Brennan now stood পরবর্তি to him.
"I'm sorry sir, we just had a large group sign in and we only have one room left. Would আপনি like to take it?" ব্যক্ত the man behind the counter.
"Look-" Booth glanced at the man's name tag, "John. We need separate rooms. I'd like it if আপনি would just give us the rooms. I'm not in the mood to argue with আপনি right now."
Brennan piped in, "Booth, I don't think he's lying," she turned to the man, "How many beds are in the room?"
"Erm, two. It's a nice room, one of our best actually...And I really wasn't lying." he said, eying Booth cautiously.
"We'll take it." ব্যক্ত Brennan, ignoring Booth's glare.
They set up the room, and took the elevator to their floor. Brennan slid the keycard in the slot and walked in. She set down her bag on the nearest বিছানা and slipped out of her shoes. Booth grudgingly walked in behind her, and did the same.
"Bones, we could've just gone to another hotel."
"I know, but you're tired and I know আপনি wouldn't have let me drive. Besides, it is a nice room. We even have a balcony." she ব্যক্ত as she walked over to the sliding glass door.
Booth stared at her back, contemplating whether অথবা not to walk over and stand পরবর্তি to her, but decided against it. He didn't want get too comfortable. Brennan turned around slowly and saw the clock behind Booth, blinking 10:38 in red lights.
"It's late. We should get some sleep. There's a body to examine tomorrow." She walked over to her suitcase, pulled out her overnight bag, and went into the bathroom. Booth changed out of his clothes while she was out of sight, and slid under the neatly folded blankets. This is going to be a long night. I doubt I'll even sleep. he thought. Brennan was out of the bathroom a few মিনিট later, clothed in striped pajama bottoms and a জরি top. She quietly copied Booth and got into বিছানা as well. This should be interesting. she thought.
