I liked the idea of Buffy turning into someone so un-Buffy-like and being vulnerable as a result. I also like how this placed Willow in a bit of a leadership role, as the one who retained her memories. I'm assuming that this is for the episode Halloween and the characters actually still turning into their costumes.
