Why aren't Esmeralda and Megara ডিজনি Princesses

Disney Heriones

The two most জনপ্রিয় ডিজনি women outside of the DP franchise. These two exotic beauties are definitely অনুরাগী পছন্দ when it comes to Animated Heriones, so why aren't they apart of the official line-up? The main reason people complain about মুলান being an official princess is that she gets recognized when these two ladies don't. Even though Megara is closer to royalty than her and Esmeralda is pretty much equal to Mulan. So basically I'm going to do the same thing I did with Merida. Look at the Pros and Cons of adding Esmeralda and Megara to the line-up. The only difference is, Merida still has a chance to be a ডিজনি Princess. For these two that ship as sailed, but at least they get to be in merchandise every once in a while. You'll also notice that I'm alittle আরো detailed in this article, fully explaining my points. Let's get started.

Hopeless Romantic

Reasons Why
-Esmeralda's Spanish and Megara's Greek, adding alot আরো diversity to the line-up.
-Megara ends up with Hercules, the son of a God. She may not be a princess but she is royalty.
-Both girls sing in their films, God Help The Outcasts and I Won't Say I'm In প্রণয় are both জনপ্রিয় songs.
-Both women are great role মডেল সমাহার for young girls to look up to.
-Megara is role model for young ladies in that she refuses to be a damsel in distress
-Esmeralda is a good role model for people as whole. She wants to put an end to prejudice.

Gypsy and Activist

Reasons Why Not
-Both of their films are failures দ্বারা Disney's standards. They didn't do terrible দ্বারা any means but in comparison to The Lion King and আলাদীন it's pretty bad.
-Neither of them are the main character in their movies. Let's be honest here, জুঁই just got lucky because her film earned alot of money.
-Esmeralda's movie is rather dark, mature and not very suitable for a franchise for little girls.
-Megara's নকশা is completely outta whack compared to the other princesses.

Dynamic Duo

Personally, I really want these two to be offiicial ডিজনি Princesses and it really bothers me that they're not. With all the other heriones, like Jane, Alice, Kida, Nala, Lilo, it's easy to see why they're not apart of DP. But with Megara and Esmeralda, it's harder pinpoint why because they fit the criteria so well. They sing, they fall in প্রণয় and they're from different cultures. I truly don't understand why ডিজনি won't acknowledge these strong and beautiful ladies. I প্রণয় Esmeralda's sex appeal and I প্রণয় Megara's deadpan snarker attitude. Maybe one দিন ডিজনি will see the errors of their ways. For now, I'm comfortable with the official line up but it could be much better with these two action girls.

Safira-09 i don´t want them in the line up, because i love them to much for this and fear for girlish-turned versions of them...

Pikatogeon16 here's why: A. They aren't princesses B: The story is not about them (that's why Mulan, who didn't marry a prince,is a princess because shes the main character.) C. Neither one of their movies were very successful, not even vault worthy, I'm sure someday they will be but that day is not today D. Esmeralda is a character with high religious perspectives which is the riskiest characteristic you can have on a princess Sorry. But never say never

Jessikaroo I'd rather have Disney create the heroine line-up for Esmeralda, Meg, Jane, Alice, Kida, Lilo and whoever else I forgot. I know lots of kids who'd prefer the heroine's to the princesses, and you're right Esme and Meg are fan favourites. And having their own line-up would mean you could actually find merchandise! :o My dream shall live on... Good article though :) EDIT: I don't think the whole religious thin is a very good argument against Esmeralda being in the line-up, Snow White was seen praying in her movie.

alldisfan It can be argued that they're not the protagonists but if you know the real story of The Hunchback of Notre Dame you know that Esmerelda is actually the main character. Disney changed the focus. Also Esmerelda is not Spanish. Indian is closer though I believe "gyspy" is derived from the mistaken identification with Egyptians. I love Esmerelda (Megara-not so much) but a princess she is not. She didn't even get with the main character (which is closer to what actually happened in the book-arguably). Why should she matter so much? And more than Kida? Not in my book. You stated your point well though and that is all that matters.

TigerRanma One can't say that Esmeralda is Spanish. It's never confirmed that she is. If she really is a Gypsy, she would be considered Romani, whose ancestors are Indian. Hell, in the book, she's not even born a gypsy; she's a French girl adopted by gypsies. Other than that, I think you made a good article about why Esmeralda and Meg are not in the Disney Princess lineup.

JNTA1234 Well I read somewhere that the original character is Spanish, I think it was Wikipedia, I'm not sure. Plus she's played by Salma Hayek in another adaption. Esmeralda's ethnicity always confused me. Anyways, Thanks For Reading :)

TigerRanma No. In the original story, Esmeralda was a French girl named Agnes who was adopted by Gypsies. In the Disney version, they actually made her a Gypsy, meaning she is Romani. That race's ancestry originates from India.

QueenElsa123 Megara actually is a princess because she was the oldest daughter of Creon, the King of Thebes in Greek mythology. So really Megara should be an official Disney princess.

greenfox411 Esmeralda should be a disney princess. I think just on the basis that in Once upon a princess she is adopted by Clopin who is considered the leader of the gypsies and in the books even called the King of Truands/King of the Gypsies. In many adaptions of the story Esmeralda is considered Queen of the Gypsies.

J3rs3yG1rl First off, saying they aren't in the Princess line up is a cop out because Mulan isn't one either. In fact, Disney even referenced Esmeralda as being Queen of the Gypsies. Being Clopin's heir in a way, she is royalty by that. She doesn't have to have nobility. Clopin is the leader/King of their people. Therefore, when she was taken under his wing, she became the equivalent to a Princess among her people. Also, the movie wasn't a failure. It's ignored by the company because of a grudge against former CEO Michael Eisner who's favorite film happened to be Hunchback.

Hi! I'm arieridan, and since I'm pretty new, I'd like to introduce myself again.

1 = I used to be @chillyneon, but deleted my account because it was too distracting,

2 = I'm naturally a bleach blonde (like Elsa) but dyed my hair red (like Ariel's) and since I have tight curls, I like to think of myself as a real life Merida, and a real life Ariel when I straighten my hair.

3 = My first ever ডিজনি movie was Sleeping Beauty.

4 = My শীর্ষ 3 DP's are CInderella, Aurora, and Tiana.

5 = my পছন্দ DV is Hades

6 = My পছন্দ non-Disney Princess is Megara.

Fanpop, fanpop, on the screen, who is the fairest Disney heroine of them all?

Finally we've gotten to the শীর্ষ 10 most beautiful ডিজনি heroines! Very surprising results, a বছর অথবা two পূর্বে you'd think this would be rigged but the মতামত don't lie. Overall, people found these women to be beautiful and for good reason. This প্রবন্ধ will include the মতামত like part 1 did, ironic that only the first and last part have the comments. What? Why do people hate any ডিজনি princesses; I don't understand!

What? Why do people hate any disney princesses; I don't understand!

Bonjour! Today I just wanted to defend a personal favourite of mine: কুইন Elsa of Arendelle. I know she's been getting a lot of hate lately and I don't know why, so I just wanted to point out why I like her and the good things about her. And why do people hate any ডিজনি princess? I see plenty of hate piled on Ariel, who I've loved for years, and Snow White, who's adorable, and some of the others that I প্রণয় as well, (all of them, hehe!). So if anybody can answer the শিরোনাম question, that would be fantastic cause it's really been bothering me.

Anyway, here we go

Best ডিজনি Hair - Part 1 - Fanpop's Opinion

Bonjour!!! Over the last few weeks, I created quite a few মতামত which asked অনুরাগী to eliminate their least favourite ডিজনি Princess (including Anna and Elsa) hairstyle, and princesses were eliminated until the শীর্ষ two. This is basically a results countdown of those polls, with descriptions as to why. I just wanted to say a big thank আপনি to everyone who voted and মতামত প্রদত্ত why - your help was appreciated!!

While I consider myself a সঙ্গীত person, my knowledge of সঙ্গীত is so-so. So some descriptions might be short because what else can I add? I just know when I like listening to a voice haha.

11. Snow White
Aw Snow, I hate how আপনি always end up at the very bottom of these lists. But the other Princesses' গান গাওয়া voices are just much আরো to my taste. Her voice is cute but when she hits notes, it's far too high-pitched that it gets borderline annoying.

So far these are the results for the countdown of the most beautiful ডিজনি heroines, places 31-40. Most people didn't consider these girls pretty and definitely not beautiful. So just like the last time I did this countdown I'm going to tell how the public felt about them and then what I think about them. Please মতামত and keep in mind that this isn't my personal তালিকা but the public's opinion.

've always loved the friendships and family relationships shown in ডিজনি চলচ্চিত্র and I really wish we could see আরো of them. While romantic relationships are nice, I've always loved the raw emotions shown through these relationships and wanted to devote an প্রবন্ধ to them. The Most Beautiful ডিজনি Princess

"Last place?! Oh no you didn't!"

So... It's been a couple of weeks since I've written an article. All of the ডিজনি Princesses are beautiful, just some of them are আরো so.

13. Jasmine
She's beautiful in an exotic way. I প্রণয় her skin color and her thick, glossy hair. However, her figure is a little too unrealistic and her eyes can look weird.

12. Ariel
She's also very pretty, but she's drawn a little too cartoony for my tastes. Her hair can look really beautiful at times, and I প্রণয় her eyes. Her hair can sometimes be too bright, and she's way skinny.

11. Mulan
She's beautiful, but a little plain. I like how they drew her to look...

নমস্কার guys! I've seen drama in the club, especially in the মতামত and just have enough of it. আপনি see, drama is mean and it just makes everything seem crazy. Everyone has their opinion and আপনি should respect that.

When people pick another opinion than yours, আপনি get angry and tells him/her to pick your opinion! In the LEAST পছন্দ polls, আপনি shouldn't be like "LEAVE NOW" to the other picks because some people like that pick

My Original Thoughts
When I first watched Frozen, in late November, I loved Elsa.. আরো than Anna. I loved her message, her relatability, everything! She was a new type of girl to the lineup. She was completely different from everyone else, and I loved her! She was in my শীর্ষ three forever. She took a slip অথবা two to my শীর্ষ five, but she never graced out....
